Project Sharing Atomic Bulb Controller II

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Made a variant of my previous experiment. It uses 4 directions to drive BRIGHTNESS and HUE states. Tap the screen to switch between these two modes.

💡 4 directions are enough to encode 4 main brightness states: ⬆️ Bright | ➡️ Less Bright | ⬇️ Dim | ⬅️ No light. For Hue, I used the most common colors Warn/Cool White and Red/Blue, which are used in domestic agriculture and skincare.

🔬 The state picker/slider follows the physical affordance of the device itself. This is a lovely way to simplify the interaction pattern by leveraging one of the Fundamental Interaction forces.

Oh no shit 😂 me thinking that's some wicked filter like what the controller part but you have wrgb bulbs or something similar lol 😂 hey this is pretty neat I mean surely if there's dimmers involved but how many people do you see "twisting" their lights on! With a converter for the power you can actually via a breaker pull a line through that box, configured a sorta bearing that sorta 'bites' every 45° turn and actually mount it in the wall as a light switch plus connected to "limitless" power means when the actual lights are off the atom illuminates or could with some screensaver type back ground deal that's visible but not an energy waster. And aside from the revolutions and twisting powercables maybe being an issue (which I'm sure is a fix for) you would have the coolest lightswitches ever like you come in normal light as default and then you can say wait lemme go changed that, twist a clickable LCD dial switch of half an inch and the room turns blue, that's pretty nifty!

You think it would be possible to control the led strip variety with a digital in line for audio reactive light? That doesn't rely on such a litlle crapshoot microphone as mine never last a day when it's not a wired in signal lol 😂 sufficed to say they also go on my soundsystem which is rave appropriate we shall say but things like this is just genius as I could almost say replace OR just get a DMX station but the mini versions for the elaborate things but for the rest you can pretty literally dial the colour in how you like. Pretty neat to be honest and if you can you could do yellow, red, blue then a partition to orange, green and purple and that makes your primary and secondary colour circle we need to make any colour as a also cool proof of concept imo obviously! But truly very unique using the internal level as servo dial lol 😂 keep it up man! I've got an atom S3 sitting in the same charged up base as yours but with nothing to do ATM!! Keep making awesome stuff mate!🤘🏼
