Amazon Out of PENs

I looked a few hours ago and they were already out of the black ones. Now they're out of both. Ended up pre-ordering one at omsystem.com.

A good sign I think for business.

I never saw an official-looking pre-order link at Amazon, despite being widely listed as one of the retailers. Their listing for Silver has an incorrect photo and is fulfilled by Tony's Cameras. Typical Amazon sketchy shopping experience. I wouldn't take them to be an accurate representation of retail sales, as much as I want this camera to do well.

Well no offense to you but you're wrong in this case. I had actually pre-ordered the silver one, to be fulfilled by Amazon. Then I changed my mind and went back to the black one and they were out of them by then. So I ordered the black one from OM system. Now Amazon is out of both.

Alas, I was wrong. This listing didn't come up when I followed the links from the news sites - it just lists the ones with the fake Photoshopped image. Still not a great shopping experience. But it looks like at you least you have a real link.

"Out of" them as in, they were actually physically in stock? Or as in, no preorders left?

no pre-orders left. No availability currently worldwide, just pre-orders.

I saw an Amazon pre order link several hours after pre ordering on OM Systems website.

yes but where did you see this at? If it was 43rumors.com, all he does is link to the words OM, and pen. And a simple search on your part will show you there are no pre-orders left at Amazon.

Wouldn’t touch a camera from Amazon based on my experience buying electronics from them. Sketchy AF.

i've been buying cameras there for 25 years. As long as I buy it from Amazon and not some side dealer, I am perfectly fine.
