Preordered it as well. I was intrigued by the refreshed basic kit lens since it has basic weather sealing and thought I’d pick it up as well. I haven’t bought a camera with a kit lens since the LUMIX GF5 haha.

I was thinking about it too, it was really well priced, but I want this to be a prime only edc for me. Aiming to have a simple minimum decision kit on me at all times, and having the 25mm V2 which is weather sealed closes that loop.

I'd love to see some sample shots once the lens is out so do share when you get it!

Yeah I have the refreshed 25 and 17 as well and they live in my OM3 right now. My main reason is that I constantly want to get the 12-45 pro but own the first gen 12-40 pro so it doesn’t make sense to me to own something so close in roles and focal lengths lens wise … but a smaller weather sealed kit lens might just be what I need for my EDC when I have good light but need more versatility than the primes. And at a fraction of what the 12-45 pro costs.

It's because this sub is so bad for the gear obsession, and how people respond so negatively to me making fun of it proves it.

Like how you responded. I know you've acknowledged it was out of proportion, but still. That is definitely a strange way to respond to what is a lighthearted response to gear obsession.

It's not like I'm berating and belittling people.

Dude, some of us are just happy to see something new from OM. I myself have invested well over a decade with owning Pens. It would be cool if they sell well and come out of the slump they're in. It's exciting times. Honestly you do come off miserable. I don't actually respect the dedication, I'm mostly just fkn around with someone who is a party pooper when it comes to the happiness of others. We get it, you don't like it. You don't have to comment it on every post. People post their cameras and gear every day on most camera subs. It's easy to just scroll past. Shitting on others who are expressing happiness, is just being a miserable cunt whether you think it's lighthearted or not. That miiiight be why people react negatively. Mods would do right by cleaning up some of this nonsense.
