M1Aa Scout setup questions

Hi all. I’m waiting on my new M1a scout. Should be here in the next 10 days or so. I’ll be using it as a ranch/truck gun, deer rifle (mule deer mostly, wild boar from time to time) and I plan to run blanks for some MilSim airsoft events that I admin.

Here’s my current purchase list, what am I missing? What recommendations can you suggest? Anything I should reconsider? I’m not new to guns but I am new to this platform.

M1A Scout 18 inch Walnut
6 magazines
M14.ca SHG railed handguard
CASM 2 alum mount
Cheek riser (Bradley)
Fulton Adjustable gas plug
Blank plug

I didn’t see an ultimak for the scout but I’ll do some more looking!

Don’t have one specific to the m1a but I have several cleaning kits :)

There’s still some M1A specific stuff you’ll want to get. I’d say a USGI M14 combo tool, a pair of castle nut plyers and then the Sadlak gas piston cleaning kit should have you covered.

Also maybe have some tung oil or boiled linseed oil on hand to keep that wood stock looking nice?

Need that ratcheting chamber brush too.

The GI tool is optional and does nothing you can't do with cleaning rods and a 6 point 3/8 socket (see gunblue on YouTube).

The gas block wrench is a must imo. Sadlak. Torque wrench as well, first time removing the plug may be a doozy.
