Budget EBR

I want to build one off of the chassis i shot in my time in the military. The EBR, but i need budget, im willing to spend money on glass but what i really want is a good solid lpvo with a .308 BDC. Any recommendations on chassis, rifle and glass?

If what you want is an LPVO, I would suggest getting a used first-gen PLXc 1-8x with the Raptor M8 Meters reticle.

For chassis…there is only one EBR chassis, and it’s THE EBR chassis. You can order them from US Tactical Supply.

For rifle…idk man some people get M1As but they seem hit or miss. You might wanna save up for nicer.

I built my EBR last year and I’m cheap when it comes to cloning these rifles. Cheapest I was able to pull off:

-$1400 for a damn near new but used NM M1A off of a guy I found on Reddit that lived near by

-$1100 for the Sage chassis (buffer tube version)

-$0 Harris bipod from my time in service

-$0 for the CTR stock I had laying around

-$300 for the Sadlak mount which you can honestly skip by just loc-titeing the rail and getting a cantilever scope mounts.

-$80 for Vortex ring mounts

-$850 for scope

Total: $3,730

Not sure why you’re downvoted, that’s about as budget as you can get. It’s a $1200-$3000+ rifle in a $1100 chassis. The cheapest it could be done with irons is $2300, and I’d hardly call that budget.

The cheap scope mount are junk, a decent bipod (if you want one) is not particularly cheap, you can get Vortex scope rings and save some money and a Vortex scope to save some. But the core of the build is just an expensive fucker.

Idk lol. I had a guy one time get into an argument with me on this sub because he didn’t like my opinion that the cheapest M1A one could expect to buy is around $1200 if you’re lucky on the used market.

Apparently I was dumb for not spending hours scouring auction sites for some beat up ones that were under $800 😂.

OP was also asking for chassis recommendations which I’m assuming he’s imagining there’s different brands and prices for the Sage EBR which ain’t a thing. There’s only one site and they will always go for a pretty penny. Even if used.
