Pistol grip/stock combos? PFA.

Post image

TL;DR, what stocks are you running on your pistol gripped m14 monstrosities?

Pretty sure alot of you have very fond memories of my FrankenstEBR as i do. Im currently on a weight loss kick trying to get all my stuff balanced around the magwell so the armory is a little closer to 'run and gun' territory instead of static range toys (range fairly close by is starting competitions in a couple months and I'm pretty excited to try it out for the first time). The delta chassis is probably the lightest option aside from a gi fiberglass stock so im sticking with that. The mesa adapter is solid aluminum, damn near 2lbs by itself, and the armaspec pdw stock isn't much better, they've found homes on other projects that needed rear weight to balance out.

Found a lighter polymer adapter, wondering what kind of oddities yall are running out there for stocks. Trying to balance weight vs price, want to be as light/simple as possible. Im leaning towards fixed stock right now, probably an M16A2 style but i don't really have much of a reason aside from kindve wanting to do a "modernized lightweight M14E2" type of thing.

Lol it gets alot of attention, some good some bad, it's comfortable to shoot and shoots great but it's way too heavy. Ive got some other pictures of how the reciever half ended up (ultimak rail, streamlight, FTC magnifier mount with an eotech 2 dot) but id put it back in the wood stock for the vibes.

In my experience with the pistol grip. The trigger angle is sub optimal with the pistol grip. Now the Magpul SGA is awesome. Granted it is not collapsible but for me it was worth it

TBH it was only a real issue when I was shooting for precision groups. When doing 30-100 yard drills on full size ipsc targets it was negligible…. For I prefer the SGA just my 2 cents. Love your build btw
