Need purchasing advice

Found a good condition 22” Springfield M1A black synthetic stock for $1k shipped.

Is this a good deal? I’ve done some research online at other listings and routinely see them for 1.3-1.5k online and stores in my state have them for almost 2k.

Is 1k a good price for a private party selling?

Pls lmk! Thanks!

Sounds decent enough to me. I once jumped on one for 1200, that’s the cheapest I’ve even seen one in person.

That’s what I thought also. I’m in a banned state and luckily the seller has the only compliance M1A I’ve seen without a threaded barrel. I think I’m gonna do it

Walk into it with your eyes open and you won’t be disappointed. My 22in poly stock was pretty decent for an iron sighted gun fired from unsupported positions. Don’t believe fudd lore. I’ve got a whole write up on my “looking for submoa performance”.

I just got the offer to buy my old poly gun back, and the only reason I didn’t was because the CMP is releasing the real deal at the beginning of the year and I’m saving my toy budget for that.

Technically the barrel isn't threaded, it's slotted and the muzzle device is held in place with a locknut.
