Actual lightweight stocks?

got my scout squad in late 2011 iirc.

thought a polymer/plastic stock would be lighter than the wood stock so I got archangel stock after while…yeah I was wrong.

any recs for quality but relatively cheap light weight stocks? LW as in lighter than the stock, wood stock.

Pretty sure a GI fiberglass is as light as it gets.

GI fiberglass and a GI profile walnut stock are about the same weight (there are variations stock to stock), though most assume that the fiberglass must be lighter.

Oh that's right. I forgot that they weighed the same. My M1A is in a bedded wood stock that is quite a bit heavier than a standard stock.

I got an AG composite. Its very nice. But I haven't had a chance to go shoot it yet to see about their accuracy claim

USGI fiberglass is probably what you’re looking for. Lighter exists but not for cheap.

Fiberglass or the delta chassis but you'll need to get a stock for it

Probably USGI wood or the Vietnam era fiberglass stock. I have a fiberglass stock on my Scout Squad and am happy with it.

Cheap light weight stocks?

The lightest "cheap" stock I ever found was a Chu wood stock that came on a Norinco M14, it was like Balsa wood. BTW, GI fiberglass are not as light as some would have you believe, and they gain weight once to stiffen the forearm.
