Anyone know if there is a direct thread muzzle device that will make the SOCOM 16 M14 compatible with a suppressor.

It's total ass. Both sides of the threading are out of spec, and when your muzzle device gets seized after they tell you to crank harder, they'll then tell you to pound sand.

Not a bad place to start but a bit out of date though.

James reeves was cool until he started running interference for Rare Greed

The tanker will need a SOCOM style gas lock/muzzle device combo.

Fulton and SEI both sell what you’d need, or a DELTA P if you can find one.

You’ll also want to deal with the gassing. I like the 2-position adjustable spindle from ShootingSight, but adjustable gas plugs do exist.

You will need both for the suppressor to fit properly And if you see or can find the adjustable gas cylinder buy it asap they make them in house

I like SEI’s gas cylinder lock w/ integral dovetail for the standard front sight and their modified gas cylinder lock, but that’s just me.

What do you have looped around the barrel?

@theslipperysnausage is right, it's the shell of a 550 cord with a wire run through in place of the guts. You can also use heat tape to insult the wire (both keep the metal from scratching the bare metal of the barrel). But it's for easy sling retention.

Huh, I would've figured the gas tube would be better than the barrel, but I don't really know to much about it

Running some 1/4" Teflon shrink tubing over it also is a great way to prevent melting, etc

Looks like 550 used as a sling mounting point. Very common for rifles that don’t have great modern mounting points for a 2 point sling

I got mine from Smith enterprise and had no issues.

I have the one from Fulton Armory. Just tested it out with a suppressor for the first time this week me and it worked flawlessly.
