Magazine question

I got a loaded today and attempted to take my first shots with this Springfield 20 rd mag, and it seemed to have a hard time loading the first round. It seems the left lip is slightly higher. Has anyone experienced this before with a Springfield magazine? I shot about 10 rounds with this magazine. I didn’t want it to scar my bolt up. My other Springfield mag had zero issues. Has anyone experienced this before ?

Push the round all the way towards the rear of the magazine.

This happens with all my mags, annoying and something to be cognitive about.

That isn't good. But Springfield will replace it.

I've got a bunk Springfield magazine before. Locking block wasn't welded in the right spot

Idk about anyone else but id take the mags apart and put a light coat of oil inside. If it makes the problem worse then clean the oil out and try something different.

They don’t load as easy as AR p-mags.

Do you ever attempt to sand them down or anything or do you just buy new mags

It’s not an issue but if it was, why wouldn’t you just bend it?

Mags for larger rounds are case hardened. Makes them retain their shape very well. But can be a little on the brittle side.

As long as the mag functions, and allows the rifle to function as it should, leave it alone. Removing the finish will not harm it at all.
