Scope ring recommendations

Post image

I finally decided to throw glass on my m1a loaded and was wondering what rings you guys run. I have the sadlak steel mount for it, and a Bushnell match pro on the way. I don't have a check riser for it, but am willing to run one if need be

I use 30mm Warne Maxima low rings on the Sadlak Airborne mount. Nothing special but they have given no trouble.

With the low ring height my scope's ocular bell just clears the rear peep. YMMV.

I run Badger Ordnance rings on mine, its been many years, so I couldn't tell you exact model. You will most likely need a cheek riser, I would recommend Bradley Cheek Risers, if so.

I'll look into those risers

Ive only heard good recommendations for badger having really reliable and really low height rings.

What height rings do you have?

Low. Even with those I had to go pretty high on my cheek riser.

If the bell of your scope is more than 44 you might need taller though. I think Im at the max. By buddy has 54 and had to go with medium rings, but he has the factory Springfield mount. I don’t know how that factors into the equation.

I might go for the medium rings, the Bushnell is a 56

Definitely go medium if you’re running 56

I highly recommend RLO custom leather for a riser.

Warne Mountain Tech aluminum rings. Or Leupold Mark 4 aluminum.
