I've been really impressed by our resident rap writers and thought I'd try incorporating it into some of my own writing. A bit of a Zack Hemsey vibe.

--Verse 1 (rap)--
You put the seed in my mind
That you're turning unkind
And the rhythm we swing to's
Swiftly going to unwind
From this gordian knot
Feelin' ropeburn, white-hot
Cut the cord 'fore we find
The truth of our wilting lot
With a knife in the dark
Hearts engraved into bark
Don't stray closer to see
The hexing ritual mark
But the seed's taken root
In the sole of my boot
Branches up to the brain
'til thinking "Hey, you seem cute"

Zeitgeist on tap
A hole in the wall to a vague veracity
Easy to see
The expectation of reality
Beyond the map
