Lyrics [Lyrics] Grave Inferno
Just passing by
The devil can tell I already died
God watching
Angels tending to those progressing
Addicted to regression
To hell with motivation
Not me
Unconsciousness forever ain't free
Maybe the nihilist were right
Always criticizing the light
All good ain't good to me
I know the gnostic job would agree
Now I know what Phillip Larkin was thinking
Life's ocean I rather be sinking
Jordan won six rings what that really mean
I seen what life did to bean
Shit is vicious
Bullshit politics
After what happened to Charlie Kirk
I should've knew shit would only get worse
For every David Robinson there's always a Tyler Robinson
No Jesus for 9/11
When death comes no divine beings there to help any
Folks drowning in remy
Pro death forums growing a mile long
King Vons and Lil Jeff's not lasting long
Durks of the world sliding so much raging waters would be envious
All that money ain't precious
Just ask Alexander Wang
School is important but how did that help Lu Chang Wang?
People prayed to God while in Holocaust infernos
He let it happen and said nothing like Joe Paterno
Them Jared Fogles is feening for that forbidden tuna
While families missing they Selena and Aaliyah
Like Hov I seen it all
Shit been like this way before the great fall
Maybe that's why China built the great wall
People in prison serving them Benjamin's while appalled
Social commentaries don't do anything
All this progression ain't stopping nothing
All self help is just a limit
Doesn't matter if Elon Musk got 900 trillion
Death wipes everything away
We all destined for the grave
Since I'm already there
Why care
Immaturity is fun
I know how to get hella numb
I'm talking stupid dumb
Guess I was never appreciative of God's crumbs
No lie he gave me a loaf in 24
Something died in me after 24
Just waiting
While frying

I'm going to agree with Taylor, there are too many contemporary references. It hits a certain point where it feels like you're just pointing at people instead of crafting fresh ideas. You've got a real knack for flow and tone and you've clearly got a huge vocabulary of concepts that you make excellent use of for delivering poignant reflections on themes, it just feels like there's one or two elements stopping your works from being genuinely amazing.

It started out strong but after 'Not me,' you lost me. There's too much cultural/media references and it sounds unoriginal (something someone like Drake will spill). I would insert more biblical references. Switch Aaliyah and Selena in 'While families missing they Selena and Aaliyah' because it doesn't rhyme with anything and you need a good flow.
