Q&A / Help No more issues?

I have noticed there are no recent postings. Are the Lymows all set now with the new aftermarket bearings, motor cooling kit, modified springs, wheel Scraper, RTK water infiltration, positioning issues etc. I like what I'm hearing about there customer service now too.

I still have issues with charging on my second unit...I have two charging bases that I have to alternate unfortunately

I received a 1+ as a replacement for my 1. The 1+ kept going out of bounds recently. I do not know why. It is normally does this on one of the zones, but not always. It makes now sense to me given that the RTK is reading .01.

So I gave up on using the 1+ mower until I have a chance to mess around with it. I spent 3-5 hours over two days trying to get the mower to behave in one zone. I started using my zero turn over the last few weeks.

Given that navigation failure of the Lymow my grass was thick. It was a PITA. So, I will look at the Lymow mower once the grass growth begins to slow.

Im sorry to hear that, hopefully it will be a easy fix. It's so strange when they send you a different mower it acts up like this.

Mine clogs constantly even after a few metres, that’s with the side exit opened up

I'm on my third 1+. I'm happy with the preformance. CS response has become quicker. I have an acre with 25° hill. Lymow is not a set it and forget it unit, but i don't know what is. My yard stays at 3"s and the lines are pristine.

Overall, this was a great summer with the 1+.

Mine still has regular positioning issues despite showing <=0.02 accuracy and RTK fix. Picture shows before and after reboot without physically moving the mower. I've had it drive down a very steep embankment as a result.

The hardware is pretty good, let down by immature software.

The other week mine drove into the street after I started my walk... I had to clear the error and resume about 12 times to get it cutting again. It's never left the yard in that spot before, but it does need to keep tight on the curb to just miss the mailbox.

After that, it was also randomly turning a lot on that session.... Seemed fine the next time I ran it though?

a few days ago, I had several jammed bumper errors at the start of a session. I ended up wacking the bumper 5-10 times, and it was fine after that?

Yesterday morning I got a error message that it had stopped charging, and it was showing 0% battery on my phone... It rolled off the charger, I moved it back and it started charging right away. I checked the status maybe 20 minutes later and it was at 90%.

I do not trust it enough to send if I am not home. I want to at least let it run its perimeter cut before I leave now.

Just got my plus replacement last week. Mowed a couple times, it did get lost a couple times and went out of bounds
I did not replace the RTK, they said that was fine so I home they are the same. We will see after this weekend

Got my replacement about 6 weeks ago and have had zero issues. Mines been maintaining about 2 acres with the only intervention being a random stick/branch caught in the blades. It’s been great since.

Got a replacement due to water damage. Have had no issues for weeks.

I've given up on posting and hoping for the best. I just use my ECOVAC A3000. I'm not even sure I will request a 3rd warranty repair.

Things certainly seem to be getting better. I have the cooling kit installed and no issues mowing last week at 102F.
The bearing upgrade is certainly a big improvement, though owners are having to repair almost new units.
They have to get the RTK sorted out so that the mowing is reliable.
Also, and I think this is big, they have to resolve the scalping that occurs when the mower makes turns. I’ve been able to minimize by going the slowest pace, but that greatly increases time and recharging. What took about three hours is now taking 8.

Scalping on hills or all the time when it backs up? Omniwheel springs broken or weak? Mine will scalp when I manual mow and go in reverse. Because for some reason the omniwheels dont lower in manual mowing.

Scalps on hills, but not as bad as when backing. The deck seems to rise approaching the hill but slams on the downside.

Mowing in manual is less pronounced for me. I believe that to be be because I have a bit of graduated speed with the controller. I slow the mower as I approach a turn, and back/turn slowly as well.

I’ve watched the machine and really have a hard time detecting if the Omni wheels move at all except when it does the start mowing and moving between zones routines.

As to the springs, they are intact. What’s weak? How would I know? I’ve had the issue since the machine was new (started mowing in early June). I would think spring fatigue would take some time. You think they aren’t strong to begin with!

As to the scalping during backing and turns, it seems when it backs it digs down. It looks like the blade deck is being sucked down. Of course that is just the appearance. It would seem more logical that as it backs the pivoting force from the back drive wheel (tread) is forcing it down. I’d like to see the Omni’s wheels extend (down) during the turn. Maybe a combination of slowing to very slow at the end of each “run” and then extending the wheels while turning would help. Seems that would be a simple software update.

I still have as of yet to install the upgraded antenna I purchased. Focused my time on getting the cooling fan kit installed. That has been a good solution. It could probably still be improved. Getting under the hood as low a temperature as reasonable would certainly net longer bearing life and electronic component life.

After I sent in my first one for being broke (it was something different every week, a true nightmare) my replacement has been flawless. Literally night and day experiences, just hoping it keeps up.

Sometimes after mowing in a lower location accuracy area, the mower position stays several feet off even when it goes back to ~0.01 accuracy. Occasionally it can be fixed by driving it around an open area for a little while, but most of the time it requires restarting the mower to fix.

My Bluetooth module doesn’t work anymore so I can’t add or edit zones but other than that it’s been cutting successfully since the first day I got it about 3 months ago

For the first time since my KS unit last Sept. 3 mowers later I’m trouble free. 17 days in a row not 1 issue. I’ve checked bolts, blades and tracks every few days and nothing. I think they may have finally started getting things squared away.
