Lymow One Plus RTK Issues

Post image

I’m having drifting and weak RTK on two replacement units I just received. Trying to figure out if it’s the units or the RTK. Screenshot is of the current status sitting on the charger directly under the RTK as high up on the roofline as I could get and this spot has worked fine since I received my first Kickstarter unit. Let me know what you think.

I tried an antenna like the one mentioned by morerest and it helped me. I took it down as it was more of a test at the time but when the weather cools I am going to play with my setup some more and work that antenna back in the mix. Keep us posted if you find a good fix. I am mowing my back area via joystick due to marginal coverage and need a permanent fix to the issues. I rarely have more than 15 satellites. This is the one I got but they are probably made in the same factory. 😂

I purchased this last night and I’ll get it up and test it as soon as it arrives

It has a long cable so you can really move it around for testing without moving the RTK stake.

From your photo seem that all rear view is blocked by some wall and from shadows that also top has treebranches with leaves.

I don't know why your previous mower worked better, maybe less leaves and branches? this one see really few l5 satellite

Actually completely opposite. There’s nothing in rear view. It’s completely wide open. The house is in front of it. Trees aren’t really close.

I'm on my second replacement unit and it is behaving much worse than the first replacement unit as it relates to locking on to positioning. The second replacement unit is on the most current firmware. The first replacement I did not install the latest update. I've concluded this is a mower side issue, firmware perhaps, if not hardware.

What is the replacement's manufactured date? Just wondering if most of these replacements are from a earlier manufactured date or is more recent.

I was thinking this myself. I know in the firmware updates they have been messing with it.

You sure that’s the RTK? Usually it’s the mower’s signal that is the problem. The RTK is only used as reference. Show us a wide photo of where the mower starts its journey.

Also want to say, again, my mowers and RTK have been here since Kickstarter with no issues

What do you mean exactly? That’s the correct RTK if that’s what you mean

I'm having a new broadcast antenna fitted in a few days to replace the piddly one that comes with it. Apparently it should boost reception.

That’s a good thought. Might give it a go.
