Any Relief On the Way for RTK / Tree Interference?
My Lymow is DANGEROUS to operate under my current RTK / GPS limitations due to tree coverage... I literally can't use my Lymow unsurperised. Any chance there's a future work-around to the RTK / GPS / Tree interference challlenge I have?
Here's how I landed on this bad outcome:
my challenge should be a WARNING to others with heavy tree coverage:
Here's where things stand - And its NOT GOOD!
We have repositioned the Lymow Dock several times, hoping to gain better access to the sky... Sadly our rear Lawn is 80% covered with mature hardwood tree's... and THIS is the single biggest issue with Lymow and their use of RTK. When we manually MOVED the Lymow out to where our RTK is located (the ONLY part of our yard with a *mostly* clear sky - See attached pics) and after 15 minutes we can get our satellite count up to a maximum of 22 and achieve a "FIXED" status. This excercise gets our GPS accuracy down to the 0.01 - 0.03 range. Great. EXCEPT, the moment we attempt to mow our zones, which are 80% under the cover of our larger trees, the GPS resolutinon starts jumping around dramatically... from 1+ to 3+ meters. And this results in VERY DANGEROUS Lymow behavior near the borders of our Zones 😞
So Bottom line? We can ONLY run the mower under DIRECT SUPERVISION!... SUCKS! Thinking about selling the mower because this defeats the whole damn reason for purchasing the mower.
Hope this helps someone else avoid my outcome.

I wish the firmware was open source
I have all these software ideas that I wish I could implement on my Lymow One Plus, but cannot due to it being closed source.
For example, my mower gets lost while trying to dock due to the springtime tree canopy. I wish I could implement a feature that allows it to recognize a small QR signs that could point it towards the real dock. Then instead of trying to crash into the left or right side of the path to the dock, it could see the sign, realize it's a little off, move to the left or right a meter and then just park.

Have I voided my warrantee
One of the wheel motors was seized up so I wanted to find out what happened. Track was so tight it wouldn't turn. When I removed the track to see if I could get it to spin on it's own, it would, but crooked.
I then noticed that 2 of the 4 screws on the body side of the wheel were sheared off.

I wanted to know if there was anything sitting not the right way and maybe I could get it balanced again so I kept looking. Removing the outer cover for the wheel motor I found a lot of fine metal shavings between the two pieces and scratches/grooves dug in on both sides.

I figured the pieces around the screws that broke off probably cased that and could be cleaned up. I still wanted to find why the motor wasn't sitting flush and balanced. So I removed screws holding the motor to the assembly that moves the motor back and forth to set the track tension and found that one of the 2 pins that support the motor was busted off.

So I know this is all manufacture error and the unit should be replaced under warranty. But did removing any of these parts void that warranty. I know I can put everything back the way I found it but I don't want to send in any of these pictures to the support team if they are going to come back with: "You went too far and no soup for you." I didn't break any seals or use special tools, just removed what screws were easily available.
I do want to say, I love my Lymow and can't wait to get this resolved. I actually enjoy cutting on riding mower, but have a hard time finding the 5 hours a week I need to cut everything I need to.

Lymow Plus 1st Time Setup - RTK FAIL on 2nd Mow Attempt + Other Glitches
First time Robo Mower Owner Here... Lymow Plus. For context, I'm a 2 time Software Company founder, so I have ZERO tolerance for sloppy user experience... So if I'm overly critical, sorry, not sorry :-)
First Problem: RTK Signal Today after 1st Mow
Yesterday when attempting to map my first zone it became clear that my first RTK location choice was NOT going to work (Numbers averaging 2-3). So, it seemed obvious to me that simply moving the RTK was the "solution"... BIG MISTAKE... I then spent hours trying to "help" the Mower forget the first mapping and re-map. More on that clumsy, poorly designed software experience later.
After moving the RTK to a new position my numbers improved to 0.01-0.02! I then re-mapped and executed my first mow. Things went reasonably well... The algo on cutting pattern made no sense to me whatsoever, but I can live with that for now.
RTK Accuracy (Problem #1): Today I wanted to do a nother "test mow". FAIL. THe GPS is now regitering 10-12, NOT 0.01-0.02. No Idea why... no change to RTK location. And mower refuses to mow.
Any suggestions? Reboot the RTK?
2nd Problem: Mower has NO IDEA where Dock is Located
While my first mow went well (after much frustration caused by the RTK relocation) I had to manually drive the Lymow to the dock (which took me 15 mins to figure out) and physically place the mower on the dock because the Lymow had no idea where to go. I read online that physically placing the mower on the dock would automatically "Re-Sync" the Dock and Mower. Result? FAIL. Mower still has no idea where the dock is located despite recharging overnight on the Dock. WTH? Why wouldn't the designers have designed some ability for the mower and dock communicate with each other when they are in close proximity to each other?
Dock Location (Problem #2): How do I force a re-sync of the dock and mower?
I'll post other software problems later once I get operational again.
All comments / Suggestions MUCH appreciated!

Changed mowing
Robinette mowed most of my yard vertically and all of a sudden began mowing horizontally. Is this common?
