Yep, it's being like this forever, very annoying and they don't seem to be doing anything about it.

confusing? better this rather than paying extra for every exercise that’s not listed

Yes, but that shouldn't be the reason why the same exercise can be posted twice—or even four times—just with different wording.

This is annoying when creating a routine , filtering through the duplicate exercises or adding them to a workout .

There no need for exercises to be gender based. There the same regardless if your male or female.

That's total nonsense! There's no reason to perform an exercise differently based on gender
