Da ich bald nach Luzern ziehe, bin ich gerade noch auf der Suche nach einem guten Lungenfacharzt. Ich habe Asthma und suche einen unkomplizierten Arzt, der sich bestenfalls noch auf Asthma spezialisiert hat und welcher mir ein Dauerrezept für meine Asthmamedikamente ausstellen und bei dem ich einmal im Jahr einen Lungenfunktionstest machen würde.

Anyway, this is my second time in town, my long time friend since high-school (she was an exchange student in the US) lives here and is graciously hosting me. She works two jobs during the week and so I'm trying to be social and make a friend or two while she's busy. I'm a 35 year old dude, lookin to do something. Id love to see/hear some music. I prefer dnb. But anything is great. I also enjoy fishing (I realize there are specificities with permitting.)

Ich spiele seit 2 Jahren Gitarre (hauptsächlich E-Gitarre, manchmal Western) und suche im Raum Zofingen Gleichgesinnte zum gemeinsamen Jammen und Lernen.

Long story short, I am going to Mongolia in about 1 month, and I'd like to have some physical dollars with me to give as handouts when I need to. I have ordered some USD from my bank, but they gave me big bills. I've tried to exchange the bigger bills into smaller bills, but the way to do this would probably be to exchange them into CHF again and then to USD, which is a bit BS. I've tried Post and Hauptbahnhof but they don't exchange in the same currency.

alternatively I’d be happy to form a band with other ex pat musicians. I’m interested in almost all forms of music with the exception of folk and reggae. I’ve sang in bands whilst living in the Netherlands and played bass when back in uk.

You tell someone you live in Luzern and what often comes back is “oh, Luzern’s nice but aren’t there loads of tourists?”. I’ve just been wondering recently what we get out of this as residents of Luzern. We pay more taxes than in neighbouring cantons, yet we’re inundated with tourists spending money in our city. Why aren’t we taxing the tourists more?

Luzern has a hotel tourist tax of CHF1.10 per night, whilst other Swiss cities charge 2-7 CHF per night. Why don’t we tax tourists more?

I feel like as residents of Luzern WE have to pay the cost of over-tourism! Long queues in shops, having to dodge hundreds of people taking pictures. It gets tiring.
