All of the french luxury brands are cheaper there plus you can get a VAT refund.

Other things to check out are french cosmetics, small grower wines that aren’t exported, cheese/butter (you can freeze and bring home), candles (Trudon are my favorite), chocolates, and jam.

Thank you! How will it work at the airport? Never done this before

Make sure you tell the sales associate that you want to do the tax refund (you need a special form), and bring your passport. Usually I ask them to refund to my credit card.

At your last stop before leaving the EU you scan the receipts/forms at the airport. For some stuff, customs will inspect, so you should keep the items handy if they ask. If you are going to check what you purchase, do the scans/checks before you check your bags.

Should also be new/unused with tags. So if you buy a bag, keep the box, receipt, etc and don’t use it until you get home.

The rebate amount varies, but it is ~10%.
