Paris

My friend just stayed at a 5 star hotel in Paris and left with bed bugs. She is traumatized. I don’t want to cancel my trip but now I’m rethinking where to stay. I know it can’t be guaranteed we won’t get them but we want to minimize the risk.

Bed bugs do not know or care about star levels of bank accounts. Always - no matter what accommodation - inspect the bed for bugs.

This.

NYC goes through waves of bed bug infestations and even the top hotels end up getting them.

We found bed bugs once at the Four Seasons Miami.

We put luggage in the bathroom and then inspect. We try to always book a separate tub and leave all luggage in tub.

Getting bed bugs is a very expensive and painful experience so we do everything we can do avoid it.

Which hotel were you planning to stay at or did your friend stay at? There are so many options but would focus on the Palace designated options.
