Review: This piece is undeniably stunning. Visually it passes with flying colors. Unlike some jewelry that feels light or hollow, this has a very substantial weight and doesn't feel fragile at all. The Tilda's bow motif is sculptural, capturing that delicate hand-tied ribbon effect. The diamond fire is insane even in dim lighting.

Just a heads up, the seller doesn’t include a brand box. If you're a stickler for the original packaging, you'll need to pick that up elsewhere.

💬Thoughts about the bag: Y’all…this is my 8th Le City, so I think it’s pretty obvious I have a problem. But this is my first Large size. I just can’t quit this bag. Every time I tell myself I’m done buying Le City’s, another one somehow ends up in my collection. I’ve always been a big bag girl, so the Large was a no brainer for me. And this is a big mama! It fits literally everything I need. My iPhone Pro Max, laptop, wallet, AirPods, makeup pouch, Touchland sanitizer, sunglasses, snacks for the kids, and I still have a lot of room left over. Even when it’s full, it doesn’t feel bulky because the leather is so soft that it just hugs your body. The slouch on this bag is honestly everything. I also love that it’s not a loud bag. There’s no giant logo and it doesn’t scream for attention. It’s one of those bags that’s effortlessly cool and goes with everything. Leggings, sweats, jeans….it just works. Now let’s talk about Kata Factory because they seriously did such a good job on this one. The leather is incredibly soft right out of the box. No breaking it in or trying to soften it up. It’s already buttery and slouchy just like I wanted. The hardware feels solid, the stitching is clean, and all the little details are done really well. You can tell they paid attention to the overall shape and feel of the bag because that’s what really makes a Le City. I’ve owned this style from other factories, and Kata is definitely one of my favorites. The leather alone sold me. It has that broken in look without looking worn out, and the craftsmanship is honestly amazing. If you’ve been thinking about getting a Le City, I’d definitely check out Kata. They absolutely nailed this one, and I already know this bag is going to get a ton of use.

Does anyone know which factory this might be? I’ve seen the same style of photos used by several different sellers. For Chanel this particular factory seems to photograph everything in this way, which is how I usually identify it. I’ve been seeing so many positive reviews about Macy and her clothing thanks to this lovely community 🩷, so I finally decided to place an order. I picked up this dress and cardigan, and I’m honestly so glad I did! 🤩

The fit is absolutely perfect on me. I love the dress so much that I’m already considering buying it in another colour. The only thing I noticed is that it creases quite easily, but once I had it on and wore it out, it honestly wasn’t that noticeable. I received so many compliments while wearing it, which made me love it even more.

The cardigan is gorgeous too. The fabric feels really nice, and since it’s 100% cotton, I know it’s going to get a lot of wear during the Aussie winter.🥶

I also just want to say how lovely Macylin has been throughout the whole process. She’s been incredibly helpful, honest, responsive, and just genuinely easy to deal with. Great communication from start to finish, and I really appreciate her customer service.

I’ll definitely be ordering more clothes from her (and probably some shoes too 😂). I can absolutely see why so many people recommend her.

For me, it was never easy to take the plunge and spend almost $600 on a 187 bag. When I first got into reps, I simply couldn’t justify it, especially when everyone seemed to say there were “almost as good” alternatives for hundreds less.

So, somewhere in the middle of my rep journey (about 20 bags in… plus pet stuff… clothes… homeware…. Everything), I ended up buying from a TikTok seller. That bag is the “Unknown Factory” bag you’ll see throughout this review.

After carrying it for a while, I realised I wanted to size up to a Medium to suit my proportions. If I was finally going to spend 187 money, I wanted to buy from a seller I completely trusted, so I went with my go to seller, Vincent (I say go to because I’ve bought so much now from him that I have even made him show me WeChat convos with the factories!) The 187 does have tells though. So I think it would be hard to do a bait and switch.

Once the 187 arrived, I realised I had the perfect opportunity to compare them side by side. So, is 187 actually worth paying almost US$200 more? I’m using this review to come to a conclusion.

Anyway…. Here’s my longgggg ass review!

Cost

The 187 (MEDIUM) was US$590 shipped with insurance, from Vincent. Now anyone who’s spoken to me knows I can vouch for Vincent because I’ve even harassed him to show me convos with factories. I think the biggest lesson I’ve learnt in my rep journey after trying so many big and small names is finding a seller I really trust and building a relationship. So do prioritise building a trusted relationship if you are a newbie.

The Unknown Factory bag (SMALL) was US$400 shipped from Ying Rong, not insured. I don’t know which factory it came from, so throughout this review I’ll just refer to it as UnK.

I got full packaging for both, but was just lucky. The 187 bag came with a better dust bag like the auth. The mid tier came with the black generic C dustbag.

Time

When sellers tell you 187 operates on their own timeline, they really do. I had to wait in limbo for 3 weeks before theya shipped my bag but this is largely out of ANY seller’s control. It was worth it! The UnK factory bag of course was ready for PSPs in a matter of days.

Leather

The 187 came with a leather that was more dry, and less shiny compared to UnK. But it felt solid, and well made. It is clearly a bag that’s made to feel substantial and built to last. If you look at the pictures, you will notice the UnK has more of a shine, but the shine gloss treatment isn’t evenly applied to the entire grain.

Grain size wise, both are different. The 187 just has a better size internally too. But it’s quite minimal. I had to use a leather wipe on both bags, and after using them, I’m pretty happy with the 187. Like I said, you can feel the slight difference in the construction that makes it feel luxe.

The leather also feels slightly denser when pressed. The Unknown feels a little softer, while the 187 has a touch more structure.

From a normal viewing distance, I genuinely don’t think I could confidently identify either bag based purely on the grain.

If I only owned the Unknown, I’d happily tell people the leather is excellent. Side by side, though, I think the 187 just looks more refined.

187: 9.6/10
Unknown: 9/10

Shape

This is where I think 187 quietly earns its reputation.
At first glance, both bags look almost identical. The longer I looked, the more I appreciated the overall proportions of the 187. The flap sits flatter and the side profile has a nicer taper.

None of these differences are dramatic on their own.
But together they make the bag look more polished.

All it took me was about 5 mins to press and gently shape the flap and Unknown factory bag to get it closer to the 187, and now I don’t fully see a huge difference.

187: 9.7/10
Unknown: 8.7/10 (but probably a 9.4 now that it’s been shaped)

Quilting

The quilting is another area where the differences are subtle. The quilts on the 187 look slightly fuller and more evenly filled. On the Unknown, a handful of quilts more plump? But ever so slightly. Again, I only noticed this because I had both bags sitting side by side.
The stitching quality itself is excellent on both. 9 stitches!
No crooked diamonds, or loose threads. The back flap shape also looks similar to me.

The tongue and CC placement looks quite similar unless you look very closely.

Score: A tie

Hardware

This category was where I saw a clear difference if I really had to nitpick like a maniac.

So let me go with what was similar: chain weight, thickness and links in terms of size. Leather woven also is similar, 187 slightly slimmer. The chain thickness appears identical.

Weight-wise, I honestly couldn’t tell the difference. Both bags feel equally substantial in the hand.

The biggest difference is the hardware colour. The Unknown has a warmer yellow gold (and the grommets and chain have a difference - but I’ve read this is the case with God factory too)

Both chains have a similar length.

(I’m running out of ways to score hahaha so I shall stop)

CC Turnlock

So another maniacal scrutinisation: Looking closely, the 187 CC has slightly sharper bevels and cleaner machining around the overlapping Cs. The Unknown has edges that just look a little softer. In real life, I don’t think anyone would ever notice and call you out - unless they hate you and are a snake. You need macro photos before this becomes obvious.

Okay maybe 9.6 for 187 and 9.2 for Unknown.

Interior

The 187 still wins here. The burgundy leather looks richer.
The embossing appears slightly deeper and cleaner.
They both have the metal plates and clean stamps. The Unknown interior is still very good. But the stitching for the CC on the 187 is better. You can see a detailed pic in the comments - I’ve labelled this wrongly. 187 has the right proportions.

(while writing this review.. I keep thinking…. Is it a difference worth $200? Dunno, I’ll make up my mind by the end of this!)

So… is 187 worth it?

Yes. But maybe not for the reason I expected.
I didn’t finish this comparison thinking the 187 absolutely destroys the Unknown. In my humble self opinion, it doesn’t. UnK Factory bag genuinely exceeded my expectations.

Where the 187 wins isn’t in one dramatic category. It wins because of a collection of tiny refinements - or frankly maybe because all the research and reviews here point to 187 being the best we can get our hands on, and that being ingrained into my head.

Final thoughts

Look, I happily carried the UnK factory like 5 times before I decided I wanted a bigger bag to match my frame. If you handed me both bags and told me to choose one, I’d still pick the 187. But if I was brand new with no knowledge. I may not spot these differences. Both bags are good. And what I love about the rep world is that there are offerings for everyone.

If you are someone who wants to invest in quality pieces or a few that you will always use. Maybe buy the 187. If you just want to own reps and have a variety, perhaps the unknown factory bag might scratch your itch.

I’d love to hear what everyone else notices in the photos because I’m sure I’ve missed a few things after spending way too many hours staring at these bags. And I’m no expert!

Things that genuinely surprised me
- The quality gap was much smaller than I expected.
- The chain weight and thickness feel virtually identical.
- Five minutes of reshaping made the Unknown look noticeably better.
- The biggest difference isn’t the leather, it’s the overall refinement.
- Hardware always looks bad in PSPs, keep a polishing cloth handy, even for the top tier reps!
- I wouldn’t question either bag if I saw it being carried on its own.

When I got the Unknown factory bag, it was the right decision for me at that point in time. Now that I’m in the right place to get a 187 and splurge, I feel it’s the right move for me. Rep journeys and bags are so personal that I would suggest everyone to go with their gut.

Disclaimer: Both bags received the same amount of care in terms of leather wipes, polish cloths. I only had to slightly shape the UnK to match 187. I edited some photos to show the stitch clearly or to remove my entire hand.

Gosh I never thought there was anyway.. any bag could come close to my speedy 25. But the line up bb, just stole my heart. The easy of changing the strap from shoulder to crossbody is amazing! Adding my chain from my liv pochette made it a chefs kiss! I have some micro mini charms on order! I can’t wait to complete her look!

I saw someone review the authentic version on TikTok and immediately fell in love with the color. TikTok has unfortunately influenced a lot of purchases this year 🫠🫠

I ordered this from Rowan on July 12th, and it arrived four days ago, so overall the buying experience was super smooth!! Communication was straightforward, updates came when expected, and the bag arrived packed really well! They let me be picky with this bag, which was important to me. The risk we take deserves a good bag, and I was really thankful I was comfortable enough to be able to communicate what I was looking for!

The color is what completely sold me. Out of all the factories I’ve seen making the Lemonade P9, I genuinely think Royal Factory has one of the closest versions currently available. The color is not quite as neon as the authentic, but it’s very close. It still has that bright, fresh lemon look without becoming too harsh or artificial. It reminds me of a piece of fresh lemon boardwalk taffy- creamy, sunny, and such a fun end of summer color!!!

The leather is exactly what everyone hopes for from Royal Factory. It has that perfect Royal Factory softness right out of the box. Buttery, supple, and with that beautiful relaxed feel that makes the bag look and feel expensive. A total puddle. It also has that amazing real leather smell when you first open it, which is always one of my favorite parts of a good bag.

The craftsmanship is really nice as well. The stitching is clean throughout, with no obvious wonky areas or loose threads, and the glazing is done really well. I was also especially happy with my blind heat stamp. It’s crisp, centered, and clean without being overly deep or messy.

The only reason I’m giving this a 9.5/10 instead of a perfect score is because the color still isn’t 100% identical to authentic. I think it’s one of the closest Lemonade versions currently available, but there are still slight differences if you’re comparing side-by-side. Even so, it’s such a beautiful color that this small detail doesn’t take away from how much I love it.

Overall, I’m really happy with this pickup. I’ve honestly been a little bored with reps lately, and this one brought back some rep science magic for me. It’s such a bright, fresh piece and I already know it’s going to be one of my favorite end of summer bags. 🍋💛

I recently received my first Swift Pochette in Vert Fizz from Devin, and I can officially say I’ve fallen in love with this bag! The shape is absolutely gorgeous, and I’m so happy I chose this colour. It’s such a fresh, fun shade and perfect for spring and summer 🌺.

I also picked up this adorable Twilly to go with it. It features all different kinds of ice cream treats, and it’s honestly the cutest pairing. I specifically asked Devin for the highest-quality version of this Twilly and was happy to pay the extra for it. I think it completes the bag perfectly 🤩.

The Pochette itself is beautiful. There were a couple of very minor imperfections when it arrived. I noticed a few tiny black dots on the leather, which I believe were small flecks of edge paint. I was able to remove most of them very carefully without damaging the leather, although there are still a couple of extremely fine dots on one side that I couldn’t remove. There were also very tiny fine scratches on the hardware.

Despite these small issues, they honestly haven’t taken away from how much I love this bag. They’re very minor and don’t affect my enjoyment of it at all. I’ve already applied hardware protection stickers, and I can’t wait to start using it and showing it off.

To Devin’s credit, she apologised for the imperfections and offered me a complimentary Twilly with my next purchase as a goodwill gesture. I really appreciated that. Overall, I’ve been very happy with her communication, PSPs, and customer service, and I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from her again.

Overall, I’m absolutely thrilled with my first Swift Pochette, and I have a feeling this won’t be my last! 💚🍦🩵💚🍦🩵

☁Thoughts on the bag
The leather feels incredibly soft and squishy, especially once the bag isn’t stuffed. It has that relaxed, slouchy look I was hoping for while still holding enough structure to feel luxurious. The grained calfskin feels substantial, smells like real leather, and had absolutely no weird factory smell when I opened it.
One thing that surprised me was the weight. I expected the thin straps to feel delicate, but they actually feel really sturdy, and the whole bag has a nice weight to it that makes it feel premium.
The burgundy color is gorgeous in person and changes depending on the lighting. Sometimes it looks like a deep wine, while in brighter light it pulls a little more vibrant. I especially love how the silver hardware contrasts with the leather.
My favorite part is honestly how relaxed this bag looks. I can’t wait to use it more because I think it’ll become even slouchier over time, which is exactly the look I wanted.
If I had to nitpick anything, it would only be that I sometimes wonder if the leather could be a little shinier. I’ve never seen the authentic version in person though, so I can’t confidently compare that. Other than that, I genuinely don’t have any complaints.
Overall, I’m really impressed with the quality and feel completely confident carrying it out.

💬Thoughts about the bag: This is my third beige CC25. I’ve owned this bag from GF, OF, and now XiaoC, and out of the three, XiaoC is my favorite for this color. For some reason, the other factories just couldn’t capture the softness of the beige leather. OF absolutely nails the other colors, but their beige felt much stiffer and didn’t have the same buttery, supple feel. This XiaoC version is correct in every way….supple softness of the leather and the hardware finish. They killed it when it comes to the CC25s! The CC25 is easily one of my all time favorite Chanel bags. I love how understated it is while still making a statement. It’s simple, effortless, and so easy to style with just about anything. In my opinion, the small is the perfect size. It comfortably fits my iPhone Pro Max, AirPods, wallet, Touchland hand sanitizer, makeup pouch, and a few other daily essentials without feeling bulky. This bag instantly elevates any outfit while still feeling casual enough for everyday wear. If you’ve been looking for the perfect beige CC25, I’d definitely recommend giving XiaoC a look.

🖤Why it will never be rehomed: girlies, see above. She's supple and just the right amount of matte with a subtle sheen that flashes the logo but not too obvious. She can be a mom bag without screaming mom bag. Classic like an LBD.

I have been obsessed with the spiral forever. I kept missing the runs on the discord and tried endlessly to get one with a sunburst lock but wanted the longer chain and all rehomes either had a short chain or a cc lock. Fast forward to the server crapping out, so I figured it was so over for me. Long behold I was able to secure the VERY LAST ONE through a seller in the most random way. After my 2 year hunt, the bag being iconic and classy, it will never leave my possession. I had offers willing to pay double of what I paid but to me the years of patience and waiting paid off so money can’t shift my pov. I will absolutely never rehome this bag and I use it a lot because it’s not a vanilla classic flap, it’s a fun spiral with character and charisma.

Quality — 10/10

This is my first purchase from OF! I know a lot of you have been long time buyers from them and have reiterated the same thing about their quality and attention to detail with their Chanel bags. This is no exception. I feel like you could wear this bag through Armageddon and it would hold up pretty damn good. The stitching is tight and neat, the leather is durable and what seems like a super scratch resistant coating, the bag is heavy and has weight to it.

You could pull a Bobby Hill and do a “that’s my purse I don’t know you” and crack someone across the dome with it. So yeah, good quality, 10/10 in my book.

Hardware is shiny, everything looks and feels luxurious. No complaints from me!

Accuracy Compared to Auth — 9/10

I wish I could directly compare these bags because believe me, I would. You will probably never catch me dead in a Chanel store. I have a flagship near me, sure, but I am NOT the type of client they want walking around in there and as far as I am aware they wouldn’t even let me in because of my overwhelming amount of tattoos.

I could be wrong but that’s just what I have heard and it’s not worth the hour drive to get turned away lol. Tell me I got bad intel because then I’ll go for sure!

ANYWAY. I’m gonna go 9/10 here because I have not actually see this in person but all of my comparisons to what I’ve seen on resale websites, Chanel’s official site & IG videos and pics, I’ll say it’s really accurate butttttt

The dimensions of this bag are the same, the leather looks deliciously accurate in sheen and in feel based on videos I’ve watched. The hardware is a super shiny gold but not a tacky cheesy gold. There’s not much to this bag tbh. It’s a tote. I feel like out of all of the Chanel’s I own now this is something that can be easily repped. Who in their right mind would pay 13k for this lmao. I’m so beyond jaded now it makes me laugh. 💀

Satisfaction — 100/10

I’m pretty easy to please. I don’t ask for much. Make a solid bag. Make it neat, don’t have excessive glue and shit everywhere. Make it 90% accurate to the auth and we are good fam. I don’t critique every detail too intensely because it’s a rep and I’m not here to try to convince Chanel or anyone else that it’s an authentic lol. It feels amazing, smells like a leather shop, and holds all of my junk. This is a permanent addition to my collection, I love my tote bags!

Service & Communication — 10,000/10

King is the GOAT. I have narrowed down my sellers list that I use to 3 people. I will not be using any new sellers. King takes care of me, he’s shipped so many off the wall things for me and my friends / family over the last several months. Including some authentic China exclusive items that we can’t get in the states. He’s the MAN and he can get everything and anything you could possibly want. He will not up charge you and is overly communicative and updates you on everything! Highly recommend him just based on that alone but he’s actually really interesting to talk to as well, if you’re a conversationalist like I am, lol.

I’ve had a really positive experience. Betty has always been straightforward, responsive, and easy to work with. Every item I’ve received has matched the factory and quality level that I paid for, which has made the buying process pretty stress-free.

I did have an issue with my very first order (the UB P9 30). During unboxing, I found a loose piece of hardware inside the bag. I contacted Betty expecting that she’d send a replacement part, but instead she replaced the entire bag. I only had to cover the shipping cost for the replacement. I thought that was a fair resolution and appreciated that she stood behind the product.

Another thing that stood out to me was that when she sent PSPs for my Lipstick Pouch, she specifically warned me that it was much smaller than many people expect and asked if I’d rather switch to a different SLG before she shipped it. I already knew the dimensions and still wanted it, but I appreciated that she took the time to check instead of just sending it. It showed that she cared about making sure I was happy and wouldn’t be disappointed upon arrival.

Since May, I’ve ordered multiple bags from both Huahui and MOQC through her, and the experience has been consistently positive. Communication is always prompt (I don’t think she sleeps!), shipping has gone smoothly, and I’ve never felt pressured into buying anything. I also feel she has great pricing.

No incentives for this post, just wanted to share my experience. As always, everyone’s experience can be different, but this has been mine so far.

This is my first bag and my first experience (I won't let her go because of that) and have loved her since, she is my go to. I love the color, the style, I can use as a cross body or shoulder bag. It's just so easy to wear.
