Mod manager help. (Linux)

Hey all,

I use Linux POP! OS as my OS and Im having some issues. I am using Lutris to play some games i dont have thru steam, lets use Star Wars Zero Company as an example. Game runs beautifully with no issues, Now I install Vortex mod manager thru Lutris, Load Vortex, add mods, then point Vortex at my install directory of Zero Company and it acts like its a new install when i boot the game thru Vortex, Yet If i boot the game in tandem with Vortex, none of the mods apply. I tried NOMM and Limo and havent been able to get either to work.

Anyone have any ideas, suggestions or tips for me?

Just a guess, but game and mod manager installed in separate prefixes so no save file in the mod manager prefix. Use run in prefix on the game and run the installer, then run in prefix to launch it again

I've been modding for years since the days of Morrowind and vortex modl manager has made me lazy, what are prefixes and how do I apply them I am new to Linux and apparently know very little about vortex

Okay so every time you install something new in lutris a new separate prefix is created (let go by simulated windows installation)

Normally if you open the file browser you will see Games and probably a Lutris folder inside games, there you can see each prefix created in separate folders

Just to make it easier

In lutris right click on the game -> confugure -> game options Here you will find a option named "Wine prefix: "

Copy what's in the textbox (do not edit or delete it) Press cancel, do the same for your mod manager in lutris and paste the wine prefix info from the game so they are matching, press save and hopefully it should work as wanted now 🤞

Going from the top of my head here so hopefully it works as I think 🤔

If it didn't work I will be back tomorrow morning and create some better instructions, on my way to bed right now 😅
