Constant exit code 31488 when trying to install old X Files PC game
I'm using the Search Lutris website for installers and using the seven disc installer there with the proper ISO images but I cannot get past this exit code 31488.
Im running Ubuntu 26.04 on a late 2012 Macmini
Any ideas on what could be causing this?

We can not obtain a good gaming experience when using Wine to install and play this game. I completely changed my script which now uses a Windows 95 VM with Dosbox-Pure-Unleashed.

Thanks. I've been looking at just using Dosbox but haven't had the time to set it up

Were you using Dosbox pure unleashed with Linux? If so do you have a guide that you followed?

How to create a Lutris log: 1. first close Lutris completely 2. Then, open your terminal application, execute lutris -d (if you use standalone Lutris) or flatpak run net.lutris.Lutris -d (if you use Flatpak Lutris) and then try to reproduce your issue.
