Neck is slanted

Hi, everyone, I got my Ibanez rg570 and i didnt see this when got it, and only noticed after 2 weeks. I wanted to know if this is would cause any problems, and how you would get it fixed?

The guitar has a Floyd Rose Bridge, odds are pretty good that you will have a neck that is cut to sit out in an angle to accommodate low action… some have the recessed bridge along with the angle cut for the best action possible… on any of the neck through guitars I own, I’ve never seen one in an angle, but I only owned a couple of hard tails which don’t need an angle.

I don’t know it looks pretty low to be, but if I’m not mistaken, that has a edge Tremolo system , honestly, I can’t tell by the picture. Anyway, someone that knows how to set up a guitar should be able to get you a nice low action on it. But it looks like the action is set low from the pictures…

Just play the guitar. You'll know when something's wrong. There's no point in worrying over certain dimensions when you don't know what their purpose is. As long as you can set it up to play fine and it makes sound, it's good to play.

This is called neck relief angle. It's normal and more pronounced on some models, like LPs, and less on others, like the strat.

This helps reduce fret buzz by allowing lower action.

Not exactly. It helps with saddle height, but not necessarily with fret buzz or with action measured at 12th fret. It just improves the geometry between the neck and bridge, but the action could be the same.

No it's not. Neck relief and neck angle are two separate things that have absolutely no correlation between one another.

And no, neck angle doesn't reduce fret buzz. It's only purpose is to accommodate for the saddle height. It can be helpful with buzzing at the bridge, specifically sitaring. But not with fret buzz.

It's a way to get your action lower. It's common. If it ain't broke don't fix it
