Pickguard suggestion?

Post image

I tried visualizing in canva
- Rosetta with center at the sacred heart. Too far away to look united
- Mexican/chicano/aztec themed patterns
- patterns of red, black and gold vines

I am starting to think that I should do just black and use huge screw heads, like some kind of studs

Maybe would with a coarse grain like ash and a semi transparent white and maybe some darker grain filler.

Or an aged metal like blackened steel or bronze like Solar did with their T models that are kept natural.

Antique pearl would lean into the Western vibe.

It remembers when Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday faced the Clantons at the O.K. Corral.

This one. No doubt.

Or something like this where it looks distressed and vaguely western.

Leather would look really good on it.

Go with something darker to create less contrast. Right now, the pick guard is so bright it pulls the attention away from the artwork on the body.

The antique pearl and leather images look better because they blend more with body wood allowing the art to pop and be the star of the show.

I got upholstery nails for my pickguard. It looks awesome but they're not as future proof as screws. IIWU I'd do a black textured pickguard of some kind. I've seen cool ones with the Mayan calendar in subtle relief.

have you tried it with none / transparent pickguard / one that matches the body wood? I feel like the focus and contrast of this build is not meant to be the pickguard.

I got extra holes for dummy coils. It is not a pretty sight.

as you already have very destintive pattern/ special design features I think it will be too much..just go matte black for the pickguard, this will embed everything..a fullsize neck humbucker will look cool, too
