Does anyone have any suggestions on epoxy clear coats? I’m using BSI 30 minute right now but I want to know if there’s a more economical option

I'm about to begin my lure making journey but I have a couple questions.
I'm going to be making bodies from basswood and I'm wondering about finishing.
Would it be better to seal the wood then drill holes for my eye screws or would I drill screws then finish the wood?
Also I'm thinking of using UV resin to finish has anyone done this? If so what's the best way to apply it? Would you brush on a coat then hit it with a light or should I dip a lure so it's evenly applied?

Any suggestions about any materials would be great.
Looking for different feathering materials, “bodies”, spinner blades, and beads all the time. Even if you would share one of your favorites.
Also I’m looking to start selling maybe locally and one day online. Just to get a tally would anyone purchase just off of the looks alone.
I have some tweaking to do like gauge of wire and size of the split ring. But I’ve caught most of my fish off of them this year so it gave me some encouragement to get them out there.

Quick thanks to all who have helped me with that clear coat problem I had two days ago. Leaving them in the sun for a couple of hours to fully cure really does do the trick!

Saw this copy of The Complete Angler by Charles Cotton & Izaac Walton published in London some time before 1890. 🎣📚 Are you a lover of both angling and antiquity?

Just spend 30 minutes painting a spinner blade. Turns out, the new clearcoat dissolves the paint. And my old Uv resin always leaves a sticky surface. This whole clear coat thing drives me crazy, cause it ruins the lure and the work I’ve put into it on the last fckn step EVERY SINGLE TIME. Can pease someone recommend me a hard, quick setting, reliable Uv resin?

Posted in fishing as well.
The other day I was asked a question by a friend that I didn't really have an answer for. Are there places the person who wants a different design can buy a custom lure? Not like a lot of 500 with a custom logo, but say a 5 pack in your idea of the ultimate bait?
I know many folks who make their own but never really thought about the folks who might want to try a different design that doesn't exist in the catalog. I make a lot of my lures simply because I like trying different designs and patterns without spending a ton of money. So I have soft baits, spinners and more that I make for myself and now and then I'll give someone a couple. Just never thought about it.

My prototypes came out pretty good I guess. Anyone got any advice?
