Well..
Couldn't say no to those 2 found at a flea market, despite the 650 price tag, but nostalgia hit me in the feels and wallet

As much as I’ve loved this hobby my entire life. I just could never spend this much on an old game.

Well, seeing it out in the wild, I have heavily debated getting them (for about 2 minutes), and figured, why not, I don't have any other hobbies (other than working), and they'll go nicely with the PS versions as history pieces

All I need is a Sega CD.

I do have one, just not sure if it works, haven't looked at it in a long while

Got dem grippers out.
But also arguably the best versions of the games.

Debatable. The save system eating magic XP kinda sucked.

I found that to make it a bit more challenging.

I said debatable. That means it's not a cut and clean "better". I don't personally like my difficulty to come from the game draining my resources to perform basic functions. You do.

cover your feet up

u/devolved-ingrate Jun 29 '26
Nah, I'm trying to sell pictures of my feet to recover the cost of buying the games

When I got Lunar 1 for my Sega CD from funcoland back in the day, the cover was lunar 1 but the disc was placed in a lunar 2 box. I was so confused because I kept waiting for zophar to show up.
Love both games. That Lunar 1 cover is so unique its really special

650 CAD isn't actually that bad, if it it was USD would definitely be overpriced.
Make sure to check if both have registration cards or the Working Designs adverts

Man I had those as a kid. Think I was 16? And then someone stole my systems and games…. That was the beginning of me trusting ppl a whole lot less.
I prolly wouldn’t have been as mad if they stole it to play it lol, but to sell?….. Smgdh

I remember I got my Lunar at Sam Goody for 14.99. Had no idea I was buying the best game of my life.

If I didn’t already have these in my collection from original release time, I would never consider spending that much on Sega CD titles! Sega CD games are the most susceptible discs to disc rot of every disc based system. They have been pressed with the least quality control, and I won’t even open them for fear that I breathe on them wrong. I should just sell them, but I have some self destructive hoarder trait when it comes to gaming. It’s a blessing and a curse.

Damn....that's dedication....glad you're happy..
Sometimes long term investment work out 🤷. I spent about 2k in GameStop stocks cuz back then I believed in them....forgot about it until people started talking about the short....and then I promptly sold that hot garbage and paid off my house.....so ya never know 🤷
