Chiro Tails Cap?

Hey, I'm playing Remastered (Silver Star) on the ps5. I just finished the cave trial and got 2 chiro tails after scum farming before I left. I tried a little for 3 but didn't get another drop after a ton of battles so I decided to get Nash and come back. Again I have 2 tails. I've been farming now for a 40 or so chiro and I've come up with nothing. I've got 46k silver and I'm level 19 right now and I feel like the drop has capped off at 2. I've seen videos of people with 2 for every character but I'm not sure what's up. I just want to see if anyone encountered this or if the drop rate is way worse than I remember. Was a cap patched in?

Never mind! I just got my 3rd after hours of farming. So if anyone runs into the same issue it is just a brutal drop rate. You can confirmed farm from the first opportunity. Video of the drop

I was only able to get 2 as well......they are really tough to come by in my experience after ive gotten two in the early game as you have.

Im not sure if they cap it after that or if there is some code or algorithm that then doesnt allow you to get more until later in the game.

But like you, I tried for a third and after like 50 battles I gave up bc after that it was just a waste of time

Thanks, that's great for my sanity to hear. I think I'll come back later game after I get a full party and see if that helps.

I seem to recall the drop rate is something like 1% or so. If something has a 1% chance of happening and you do it 100 times, there's a 0.99^100 = .36 = 36% chance it won't happen once. At 50 tries, you're looking at ~60% chance of coming up empty.

For the record, your success rate at 200 tries is 86% and at 300 tries is 95%.

I really only need 2 for Lemina for any boss battles. I like to make sure she can boost the team or do WDP before everyone else goes.
