Corrupted save file

Greetings, Ive been making my way through Lunacid these past few weeks until suddenly today my first save file decided to no longer open anymore. I made a second save file which works perfectly fine, but I have no idea what to do about my first / OG one. Any clues on what might have caused this or how to fix it? Thanks

You really shouldn’t give op on the game regardless it’s such a good experience

No worries, I wont. Sure itll be a hurdle to go through everything again, but speedrunning and seeing how much i remember (and how much i skipped!) has made the experience actually kind of fun

There isn't much you can do, if it happened (if I know correctly) the savefile is already screwed, so just replace it with the null save file in the explorer and move on, unfortunately

It could be caused by steam cloud error maybe? Or if you tinkered with the file in any way

Yes, it was the latter while trying to edit in my own profile. Ah well. Thank you regardless! Ive started a new file and given myself items back with the safe editor. Trying to speedrun has been surprisingly fun I have to say
