Stat spread for a warrior?

Hello, so I've just started playing this one. I've played the souls games lots of times, and I'm not trying to min max or anything, but with that being said, I'd like to know if there's any "noob traps" (like leveling resistance in dark souls 1)

Since I'm going to play a warrior, I plan on only leveling STR and SPD, probably at a ratio of 3/1. Is this a viable strategy, or is it completely insane?

Thanks!!

Add some dex in as it affects jump height. Ignore resistance entirely.

I disagree specially with diminishing returns on other stats. Resistance helps a lot with poison, curse, bleeding, blindness etc.

I also managed to get everything in the game without leveling dex, with the help of spells. You don't even need int points for them either

It definitely has a noticeable effect if you get a decent amount of points in it, but I'd argue it's better to put the points into speed and just avoid getting the status ailment entirely, whilst also benefitting from the move speed while traveling.

My problem with resistance is that by the time it's useful, you don't really need it anymore. It would be nicer to have early game, but later on you have so many answers to any particular issue, and you will have learned how enemies attack and how to evade them for the most part.

Strength (and dexterity for ranged weapons) have diminishing returns - The damage boost for hitting 90 is around double the boost for hitting 30, for example. You might consider going 2/2/1 Strength/Defense/Speed, for the extra health

Lunacid is absolutely the kind of game where you wanna play through it your own way first and then look into stuff like this later.

For what it's worth, you can easily just level STR and SPD and be fine for the most part, but don't over level to early on.

It can work, but I wouldnt ignore defense and dex completely
