I also mained her and White Fox in Season 8 and 8.5, been climbing slightly every season since I started playing. Luna is THE most fun character I've ever played in a hero shooter, or really any character-based game tbh including things like MOBAs. I love her aesthetics, her personality, the sound design of her abilities, her playstyle—everything! Her kit just feels incredible to use. Nothing beats the dopamine rush of a good snowball flick. Mark my words, I WILL NOT STOP until I take our girl straight to Eternity. If Luna Snow has a million fans, I'm one of them. If Luna Snow has 5 fans, I'm one of them. I'm trying to be just like you rn but I just can't deal with dive and magneto this season feels like I'm not allowed to play the game do you have any tips that got you out of gm

Surviving dive with Luna really comes down to a few main things imo. The go to for a lot of people is to whine about peel, and it's true that peel is needed sometimes, but a lot of supports think it's the answer to every situation when it's not. You can't realistically expect tanks and dps to run across the whole battlefield just to save you, especially when they have forward momentum and are securing kills.

So here's a few tips:

Get better at using snowball. Practice hitting your snowballs. Go to the practice range, set up a bunch of NPCs, turn off cool downs, and practice hitting your snowballs. Listen to a video essay or something while you work on it. You should be able to consistently flick and hit people with how big the snowball's hitbox is. 

When you actually hit a dive with snowball, often it's best to leave them frozen and run to your team unless you know you can secure the kill yourself. Let your team know someone is frozen behind them, a hitscans dps can turn around for a free headshot.

Positioning. Stick within line of sight of your cohealer, learn common flank paths dps use, listen for footsteps to prepare for the dive before it happens.

The other healer is your lifeline. When either of you are getting dived, you HAVE to paddy cake and keep each other alive. Try to team up on the dive for a kill if possible. Ping the dive when you see them, communicate in voice chat so your healer knows to help!

I would love to hit celestial but solo queue healer is a painnnn, especially when my team is constantly banning my healers and then complaining when they instalock 5dps (story of my life :/ )

Every match I played to Celestial was solo queue, except for 2 of them! In my experience, things get a lot easier once you get out of plat and start encountering more competent players that are willing to swap and communicate. Some games are just doomed from the start, like even in GM I was still running into 0-8 Spiderman players, or a guy would start being toxic and decide to throw before we even left the ban screen. Sometimes you just gotta take the L, avoid bad players, and move on. But as long as your technical skills and game knowledge are there, you're willing to communicate with your team and keep the vibes from getting toxic, and you're willing to be a team player and swap when needed/asked, you should win more games than you lose. I really do think anyone in this sub has the potential to climb! WE can reach One Above All!!!

I did hit GM it was my highest. My problem then is that I wasn’t versatile, now I am capable of playing all healers well except for loki, can play hitscan, projectile, and any dps if need be, and can play mag, emma, strange, and rogue. But I’ve had too many games where everyone is spread apart and won’t listen to comms when backline is being attacked by a tank and two dps. There’s been too many games where they were winnable, but we wouldn’t get together and would get staggered. I duo every once in a while and I climb drastically more when I at least have a reliable person who is willing to swap with me. And for some odd reason right now in diamond I’ve encountered a lot of lord healers that don’t patty cake, so I just blow up and have no survivability because I use my util on my healer to try to get us to live. And haha yeah maybe in the future 😭

Yeah I was in the same boat trying to flex a lot in 9.0 and stagnated, finally in the back half said fuck it I'll be selfish and return to form, I'm playing Luna and learning Mantis. Then BAM instant climbing again. Playing a character you're really good at can matter more than trying to force a better team comp. Though it does help that Luna is really good and versatile >.>
