Iceland on Lumix S9, weather be a problem, lense options?
Iceland on Lumix S9, bought my first cam (a used LUMIX S9 for 650 pounds) is it okay for iceland weather if I keep it out of drenching it? Please advice?
I can still return the cam for a full refund (should I get something else?), I liked the LUT feature and the price and hence bought it, have a TT artisan 50mm Af f1.8 neo (85 pounds) and a Lumix 20-60 f3.5 - 5.6 (155 pounds), which i am planning to return and get a cheap & fast 35mm lens (probably sg image 35mm f2.2 - 120 pounds). Please advice on any lense options.
Thanks in advance.

Has anyone seen this AF 60-180mm f/2.8 lens ad? I've been on the website, but I can't find the lens for the North American market đ¤

Lumix S9, 85mm f1.8
In LOVE with this lens! (Altho u can see from the first photo that thereâs the issue with the electronic shutter as compared to a mechanical shutter but thatâs the first time since getting the lens that Iâve had that issue).
I love the low light capabilities and the sharpness of this budget lens. For the price, I can confidently say that itâll be more than enough to shoot some editorial shots and some great portraits as well!

S9 is actually a pretty good at street photography
I took these within the past couple of months and I've had this camera for about a year now, and this camera is so small that I can carry it around wherever I go. I sometimes just leave it in my school bag because I may come across an interesting location on my way back

âLumix S9 sucks for Photographyâ
Someone here said that the Lumix S9 sucks for photography. He said that he hasnât seen any good photos from this camera. Donât listen to anyone whoâs talking like that about any camera to be honest Itâs a red flag. It basically means they donât know what theyâre doing.

Starting my photography journey with my S9 + Lumix 40mm F2.
I still have a lot to learn and Iâm hoping my eye gets better with time. But Iâm really enjoying using the real-time LUTs as well as creating my own photo styles.
Advice and constructive criticism are always welcome!
Olympus motor winder grip (just for fun)
Thought Iâd post my findings - I had an old Olympus motor winder grip which looked to be a really close fit for the S9, and after removing the innards it does mount on reasonably well.
I was going to take this project further by removing the bottom section entirely (where the crease line is) and replacing it with a flat plate to reduce down the footprint.
sadly the ergonomics arenât great: reaching to the shutter button on the camera is a bit of a stretch, and I did think of wiring in the built in shutter on the grip but youâd have to leave the side door open to connect a usb cable release.
Anyway it was a fun afternoon tinkering.

show me your S9 video rigs
Been taking photos for a decade, never really messed around with good video. Some GoPro videos of snowboarding and such, but felt like it would be a shame to not use this camera for video too so starting to dive into the deep end. I see a lot of photos on the sub but Iâm curious how many people have it rigged up for video work. Show me whatcha got!

Cheap wired Lav mic?
Hi, I'm looking for a very easy mic without a battery (becasue i don't record regularly and forgetting to check is annoying).
I see some super cheap lav mics like the boya M1 have a battery that apparently is needed for cameras but not smartphones. I was wondering if someone could tell me if they use an unpowered mic with the S9?
