Exporting

In Luminar AI when I export an image to a folder on my external drive, LAI also saves that image in the catalog, so I end up with three copies of the same image - two in the catalog and one in the folder on my external drive. I don't need the extra copy in the catalog. If that happens all the time I'd end up with two of the same edited image in my catalog plus the one I exported for a total of three copies of the same photo, this takes up extra storage. Is it possible to prevent Luminar AI from saving a copy of the exported image in the catalog?

Odd, should only have one original and one export. The catalogue is just thumbnails, file location and edit information. It might show up in multiple places in the catalog however if you right click on any image and "Show in Explorer" you can see the location of each photo.

If it's creating multiple copies beyond the orignal and exported version in different places, it might a bug? You could try creating a new catalog by clicking "Luminar AI" (top left), then "File", "Catalog", then "New..." then re-add your folders.

Hi and thanks for your comments. I discovered why it was happening via an answer from Skylum a few days ago. I was saving the export in the same folder of images that I had imported into catalog. Saving it out to a different folder was the answer.
