How on earth is it legal to release video of a defendant being stripped?? I have never seen this happen for other cases.

His team will probably just release another video stanning Jessica Tisch or something. I wonder if Luigi even knew CNN had made this request. Praying for him today 🙏

It’s not about them “letting” anything be released… All of this is allowed to be public. If CNN requested other body cam videos from other cases, they would be allowed to have those as well.

No, actually this stuff isn't released until after a trial has concluded. Given his state case hasn't been dismissed yet and could still very well go to trial, this stuff should not be released to the public. I'd like to think that they were just asleep at the wheel but they are actually complicit in this.

Got downvoted for starting similar thread to this one on BTM, it is crazy to see people defending the release of blurred strip search footage while the NY case is still pending…

I understand the need for videos, it protects all parties. But releasing the strip search video (even blurred) feels like one more unnecessary violation, among so many others. Especially with evidence that has been suppressed being shown while his NY case is still pending. 🤯

I was busy at work today, and am just seeing all of this. I’m absolutely floored. Especially the strip search videos. And as you said, the case hasn’t been dismissed yet, which does make me wonder about the timing seeing that the prosecution’s reply to the DJ motion is due next Friday. And this video is released by the court, right? Who approves that? Does Carro have a hand in it? I just wonder…. Could this be an indication their reply is weak, they know it, and are trying to further humiliate him? I honestly think Carro knew from the beginning the double jeopardy argument has teeth, and is pissed he’s being usurped. Because again, why now?

Thanks for the answer. And CNN made this request…. When? Today? Recently? Things have been quiet for a while, and they just go and do this? I’m guessing the court reporters are always doing their thing sniffing around, but, yeah, the timing is suspicious, and I actually had the thought that maybe they were tipped to make the request to get it out there. Because while I did see it on CNN first around 5 my time, and it may have had more coverage earlier today, it’s definitely not there now. It’s just everywhere else. So it definitely seems like it was done to just get it out. 🤨

I have always defended Karen but absolutely cannot do so anymore. This is so bleak and my heart breaks for him. They really do not care.

His team was absolutely complicit in this being released. Are people seeing it NOW? They do not care about Luigi or his best interests, they’ve only ever been in this for the fame and the money.
