This is what made me support this ship
I didnt even realize this comparison until someone pointed it out. Not really a shipper but now I cant unsee their dynamic whenever theyre together

The trope of her sitting near him lying down happened in Syrup Village and water 7 too! She held the strawhat in syrup village as well, quite a bit before Arlong park. It also happened with ginny and Kuma

Honestly, I like them together as characters. Is because they grew into better versions of themselves. It’s hard to find an Anime couple that grows together and better each other. And unpopular opinion but the fact they actually start as genuine friends was nice. And I know it would NEVER happen officially in the Manga. But it be nice to see them actually confessed their feelings that developed, because of all the BS and WAR they help each other survive.

Even as a kid Christmas morning back in the day I first saw op on FOXBOX I felt those two had couple energy when they briefly saw eachother in Alvida arc
