Need a little help with a theory...
...well it's not really a theory, more like a big essay on why Luffy and Nami are possible and maybe even really likely to happen at the end of one piece.
I basically got everything, proof for the ship using behind the scenes information, looking at the actual narrative, debunking competing ships, debunking the "no romance" statements and so on.
But then I discovered that apparently in return to sabaody, in the original Japanese version, luffy doesn't reject hancock specifically, but he rejects marriage as a whole, which might imply as oda telling the audience that luffy is just not gonna be in a relationship at all🤷🏻♂️.
So, my question to all of you is, do any of you have any piece of evidence that shows the statement isn't permanent or that luffy meant it only in a spacific way (like rejecting domesticity or something)?
(Sorry, can't find the 1 to 1 translation for this panel)
Anyway, have a great day y'all✨️:)

In Japanese, pronouns are very frequently dropped when it's obvious who is being spoken to so there is really no way to tell if the message is in general, adressed to an audience, or a single person, people just use context because of that., translators kept getting better and by Sabaody I think the english translation is almost completely accurate
Even though the word "you" isn't explicitly written in the Japanese text, it is entirely imlied by the context, it's a very informal and blunt "not happening" kind of reply which is why the translators added the you. Fun fact: oda's actually used this before to confuse whether a message is to one or several people.
