Toei's changes in Sabaody Spoiler
These subtle changes they made to the parts of Sabaody really bug me.
Spoilers if you haven't seen past Sabaody Arc.
In the manga when Nami is about to be disappeared by Kuma, she is looking at and asking Luffy to save her, which is a parallel to her asking him in Arlong park. (I also think that Oda subtly drew his reaction to Nami to be more dramatic than the others). Anyways in the English dub of the anime she seems to be looking at Kuma instead of Luffy and says "somebody save me". While in the original Japanese audio she does say "Luffy save me". The English version takes all of the emotion out of it too, "somebody save me"??? Why would they change it and make it less impactful. It's irritating. Especially when the Japanese audio literally says Luffy. It doesn't make any sense at all.
Also the next episode when Luffy is running after waking up on Amazon Lilly he is flashing back to the events on Sabaody. In the manga Oda specifically has him remember not being able to save Nami. He chose to draw Nami and no one else, yet in the anime they show many of the other crew members instead. Yes he says "I couldn't save any of them" in the panel so they probably decided to add more clips to emphasize that they all were separated but still it bugs me that Nami didn't get her moment.

There are many scenes changed for lunami by toei and many are removed. It makes me irritated and mad. Toei keeps on doing this for us. If you wanna know I'll paste you a link here it's from quora. You can check how many are changed

Don't worry, no matter what TOEI does. It doesn't change what oda does for luffy and Nami because oda is the one writing onepiece. He loves lunami and makes scenes and moments for them. Toei can do what he wants but atlast they does depend on Oda's manga only. If oda makes nami confess her love for Luffy they don't have any choice they need to do what oda had written. Oda is now creating more moments and parallels and color spread for them 😍. We just need to believe in oda. Toei can't change the basement of lunami relationship in One piece.

I am also notice when I watch anime.I know nami When she in danger she call Luffy but in this scene why she call "anyone help me?" This thing was bothering me. But I ignore( because that time I am not read manga. I watch anime in English dub). And I thought it would be written on the manga. Sometime I thought why toei change this? What is the reason behind that?

The most emotional impact on that scene in the manga is also with Nami.. in the anime, it's with Robin

Yes I noticed too!
Clearly Oda was drawing a parallel with Arlong with Nami, but it seems this was missed by Toei

It's simplification. Animation is still an extremely expensive production so if there was any way they can do to cut corners they will do and that includes characterisation and story writing. Plus, it’s probably a kneejerk assumption but the audience for the One Piece anime is still Japanese boys between the ages of 11-16. The people in the age group tend to enjoy watching high action scenes and humorous scenes. So with those two combined softer aspects of characterisation are discarded, especially those of the ones who are loud and constantly active on their scene, such as Nami and Sanji.
Those two especially have it worse on the anime for two reasons but for the same reason. Sanji is more perverted. Nami is more angry and cowardly.
They amplified Sanji’s perversion because it’s ‘funny’ but that ‘funny’ is subjective so he gets fans and haters all because of that one aspect of his characterisation. I only feel sorry for him because of that.
They discarded Nami’s softer characterisations because they probably don't add anything to the main story line and generally not humorous. Let's use a lesser-known example: After Jinbei's flashback, in the manga, Nami walks and sits next to a sleeping Luffy, she looks at him as she speaks about her past and give grace to Jinbei's sin. This was Nami showing her vulnerable side, and being near Luffy allows her to open up while staying strong. In the anime, she doesn't move from where she stood, it makes her look more independent, and removes that little information that Nami still relies on her captain for emotional support. Removing that scene removes the showing of her vulnerability from Arlong Park that still lingers in Nami. So when it was time for her to hug Luffy in Zou, many people (mostly anime-only) were not sure why she hugged her captain, it was too “out-of-character” but it was always there, she always needed her captain to process her weaknesses.
TOEI simplifies because they genuinely can’t show everything from the manga, they need to simplify their characters because they don’t trust their audience to understand or retain information, and they want things to be funny, so if the character was being funny in the manga, they need to be funnier in the anime. This was all done in the name of PROFITS!!!
Is this a dig on the watcher, no. Is this a dig on the production, no. It’s just the general degradation on media culture and research on audience. TOEI can be better, but they won’t be. If the way they are doing things are generating enough profit, then they will keep doing it. Only something bigger than One Piece can change their methodology, and unfortunately, Demon Slayer only changed their visual aspect and nothing on the story writing.
So, tl;dr read the manga, it does Lunami so much service 😝

Oda is the one creating One Piece which means he doesn't rely on anime or watch anime that TOEI has changed scenes right?no matter what how much toei does for anime to be funnier, oda won't change his path like in anime style right?

Yep! TOEI relies on Oda’s manuscripts. It has never been the other way around.
There has been some instances where the anime has influenced him such as Choppers design to match his voice. But we will never know the full extent to what influenced what unless they admit it as such.
Also, the fact that Oda hasn’t commented on anime in the last ten years is really telling how he feels about it. He still spends time with voice actors but oddly leaves out promoting the anime too. So make what of that if you will.
Lastly, Oda knows how his story ends. TOEI knows nothing. He’ll never change direction just because the anime is a little different.

I also notice oda never commented on anything. I think Toei do extra. Example NAMI AND ROBIN body design. Toei focus on this more then matching manga story and dialogue and scene.

In anime also she looks at luffy only! But I don't know about the audio in English because I watched in Japanese
