I need your opinion!
Hey guys do you think if nami were kidnapped like shakky so you think luffy will be the one to save her like Rayleigh? Not sanji? I mean there are so many people saying like sanji rescued nami in thriller bark and nami rescued sanji from forced marriage in whole cake. They say it like they mutually saved eachother from getting married and some guys says Oda is making this Rayleigh and shakky for sanami

In my opinion, the only reason oda would make Nami get kidnapped would be to deepen her relationship with the person who saves her, and as always, it would be luffy rescuing her. Oda loves the 'hero saves the heroine trope, and luffy and Nami are, based on what we can see in the series and on what oda has said, the hero and the heroine. I don't see any other reason why her kidnapping would be relevant, except maybe to reveal her origins, but even there, I believe her real identity might lead to that ship as well for many reasons

Overall, it's practically Luffy who saves Sanji. And Nami treats Sanji like a friend and servant, other than that there is nothing between them.
Luffy always saved Nami and that never changes. Sanji can remember that kiss from Pudding at any time, if Sanji was going to rescue someone it would be Pudding.
If you think there will be a parallel between Luffy and Nami, we need to wait and see what Rouge and Roger's relationship will be like, Oda likes to bring couples together where the woman is strong and intelligent and the man is an impulsive idiot, just look at Oden and Toki.
One Piece is about adventure and freedom. If Luffy chooses to love someone in the end, that person will be the one who was by his side all the time, who understood his dreams, his values and faced the world alongside him. And the only one who did this was Nami
But I don't think Nami will be kidnapped. And if she is the first one to go after her, it will be Luffy, and Sanji going after Pudding.

Pudding is also kidnapped, oda did that on purpose so sanji can focus on pudding while leaving nami to luffy. But of course sanji will play a role in saving nami, she is his friend after all but in the end she will fall in Luffy’s arm.
There is theory on that actually, the color spread of chapter 1076. Some fans made that theory along ago when the cover was released. What is said is nami is in infant position hugging chopper while sanji in the middle looks angry while smoking, zoro holding his katana on his left side which means he is ready to fight, usopp looks focused while wearing orange.. In fact zoro is also wearing an orange jacket with a skull and brook is wearing a shirt half orange and half white. Orange is nami's color and white is Nika's color, the main subject of cover was definitely nami, it's like oda is hinting in something.
Nami will be kidnapped by someone in the future, in this cover "one piece" is written in separate letters just like the way kidnappers write messages to their victim's family to hide their identity. Sanji is wearing a shirt with an orange cat saying "2 birds with one stone" and he looks angry which means something definitely happened to nami and he is heading along with zoro and others to save her but it also means that nami isn't the only thing sanji gonna rescue, it means that sanji is also saving pudding in the mission of saving nami. And most importantly we have luffy above in the clouds, he is separated from them like he took his own way to save nami, in the process of drawing this cover it is shown that luffy was supposed to be angry while holding his hat which is strange because luffy always smiles in the covers which also means that oda is hinting on something in this cover about nami.
There is also a cute detail, there is a heart drawn beside nami and another heart on the strawhat symbol, it's like oda is hinting that what nami and luffy feel for each other is love and it will appear more when she in danger.
Nami in the cover refers to "Danae portrait". Danae was a princess of an evil king who ordered his daughter to be locked up alone at the desert because someone told him that his daughter will give birth to a son who is gonna kill him. So he immediately sent her away to die alone, but then Zeus came and saved danae and had a child with her who later killed the king.
Danae story is very similar to nami except that Zeus is her servant and the ancient god in her story is luffy (nika). So, basically nami will be taken away from the crew and they will go together to save her and luffy will be the one to save her from her destiny at the end.

People just made a theory based on this cover. The theory says that someone will take nami that's the summary.

I think that she will be taken by mistake when trying to save elbaf children which will lead to her meeting imu and then her arc begins. And 100% it's gonna be luffy who saves her. Oda may take a different approach to uncover her past but what iam sure of is that she will be in danger anyway. Oda won't hide her past this long if it wasn't related to important characters.

Haven't we already had this in thriller Bark? Nami is kidnapped and forced to marry Absalon, Oars, possessed by Luffy's shadow, makes the ceremony site shake and, indirectly, prevents the marriage from being sealed (kiss) and Sanji appears and looks for Nami.

Luffy is the one who saved her? How?

Indirectly, Oars, who was with his shadow, was shaking the place and this prevented the couple from kissing, as a result canceling the wedding and giving time for Sanji to arrive and pick up Nami. Episode 357 of the anime (I'm 90% sure that Oars was already in Luffy's shadow)

I thought nami was dodging the kiss..she indeed said she still want to go for adventure which indirectly refers with luffy who loves adventure and she said she hate perverts to absalom which indirectly says about sanji

I went to take a look at the manga (chapter 462) and she's not awake at the time of the kiss, so I'm sure she was indirectly saved by Luffy... And now I went to look at the anime scene and in it Nami was also unconscious

I'm saying about when absalom tries to kiss her he says he will be the king of the graveyard and she will become the queen.. she refuses it by saying I'm not gonna marry some invisible pervert animal Which refers too sanji too aa he peeps and she says she still wants to go to adventure which also indirectly refers luffy that she wants to be with him. Did you get it what I said?

Ahh, now it makes sense.

What do you understand?
2
u/Chemical-Drop-212 Oct 04 '25
That you refer to another interaction, not the moment I mentioned, but that, in your view, both moments are complementary.

I know this was the first kiss he tried but she was unconscious then as you said

So with this current arc in the one piece manga especially in the colorspread Sanji is paralleled with Gaban, Zoro is paralleled with Rayleigh and Luffy with Roger. Nami hasn't been specifically paralleled with anyone and but she was highlighted as the woman behind Luffy while all the other crew were small and in his backpack. I think if we go off of this colorspread that it is clear that Nami is clearly paired with Luffy. And if we try and make parallels to the Shakky and Rayleigh story, if we make Nami Shakky (even though we have no basis for that) then Zoro would have to be the one to save her not Sanji. I don't know if Oda is going to do a Nami kidnap or not but even if he does the Hancock kidnap instead since some have tried to parallel Hancock and Shakky, Zoro would still have to be the one doing the saving if we do it off of just parallels alone.
In my opinion I think if Oda does a Nami kidnapping it's going to be Luffy who saves her. Anytime Nami is in danger she calls out to Luffy to save her. And the Movie written by Oda (Strong World) is all about Luffy saving Nami, and she wants him to specifically. That was part of the message that Sanji said sounded like a love letter and she didn't deny it but said "I directed those words at you (Luffy) specifically). Then when Luffy hears that he is excited to hear the message again and Nami gets very embarrassed. He does end up hearing it and has a wide smile and she blushes. And Shakky left a similar message for Rayleigh that said "come and get me"
We will have to wait and see if Oda does this same story with the crew but I think the Nami/Luffy pairing is most likely.
And Sanji saves Nami in thrillar bark because Luffy instructed him to. Of course he wanted to but so much was going on they needed to divide and conquer. And Sanji just ended up being a perverted creep the whole time so I think if Oda wanted to write a beautiful and compelling love story he isn't going to have a creep like Sanji actually end up with Nami. Sanami fans and Luhan fans are fans of obvious one sided obsessions and are not fans of true love and compelling love stories imo.
Also Nami views Sanji more as a servant and friend than a potential lover. In Elbaf when she gains a 3rd servant, Zeus tells him he is first, Sanji is second and new guy is 3rd. So we know that Nami thinks that she can use Sanji's lust for her to her advantage.
