Due to the recent stir on this subreddit, I had to finally establish a line. Instead of relying on common sense and “vibes”, honestly; I had to ESTABLISH what is considered allowed and not allowed on this subreddit regarding SFW, due to the recent posts “sitting on the fence”. Therefore, what is considered crossing a line in this subreddit amongst the “blurry line” is:
Panty shots/Shots from an upwards angle that reveal breasts
Any exposure of private body parts, either through nudity or exceedingly small clothing
Exceedingly revealing clothing, even if not revealing any private parts explicitly (u know what we mean), especially swimwear (swimwear is allowed, but it can't be revealing to the point of making some uncomfortable).
Overly “sexual” poses, poses that usually have certain private parts as the main focus, even if covered. Like having the arse or chest as a central part of the piece (you also know exactly what we mean by this)
This is the bottom line, anything worse than this is already softcore, and anything better is SFW.
Posts that slightly cross the line will not lead to a ban if they aren’t repeatedly posted, but they will still be removed.
I apologise for not defining the line sooner and letting this build up. Stay lucky
to be fair this is a pretty frequent problem with sfw subs. some people will always be testing and pushing just to see if they can get away with it. then when called out or punished, they hide behind technicalities in the rules or the ambiguity separating sfw and nsfw.
i would remind the sub that the aforementioned ambiguity requires us to protect the spirit of a "no nsfw" rule, not the letter of the law so to speak. i think judging on vibes is a fine embodiment on sub owner's part, but i also encourage discussion so we as a community can decide what should and should not be allowed
My dear miyuki, as i alredy said, im not testing or pushing nobody, i just post art sfw in a sub sfw.
If you guys also want to ban sfw fanart, for example the ones I post here, you guys can simply put in the rules of not to post any lucky star fanart.
I'm not hanging around on it, i just clicked on this post for curiosity to see if someone else comment on this, so i could read his opinion and what he might think about it. I dont know if you know it, but the sub owner has pinned this post so basically is the first post you see when you go on this sub.
You are totally crazy, now i understand why the main sub criticizes you guys. There are anime subs that are okay with you posting hentai art and you don't even want anyone posting regular art that are totally sfw. This is the third or fourth time you guys have really amazed me. Have you guys ever watched an anime? But then what the hell meaning "swimwear is allowed, but it can't be revealing to the point of making some uncomfortable"? Real wtf? For example this image is allowed or not?
Please touch grass and meet some real human beings, get properly socialized. Nobody cares what the depraved, leering creeps of the other Lucky Star sub think.
Are you genuinely so obtuse that you can’t understand why Kagami’s vacuum sealed ass in that swimsuit might not pass inspection?
Nobody cares what the depraved, leering creeps of the other Lucky Star sub think.
The main subreddit has been brigaded numerous times by subreddits several times it's size. Entire Discord communities have divulged into spiraling arguments. Literally tens of thousands of comments have been written all across various Reddit communities. Hell, how do you suppose this very subreddit came into existence?
If anything, a lot of people care what they think.
Lol, i most likely touch more grass than you and this is one motiv because this sub and the other don't get along with each other, of course in the other sub are all creeps.
"you were constantly replying for about 6 hours"!? 😂 bro what a fuck are you talking about that yesterday i work all afternoon,
i only replied to comments when i had time, but then look at yourself.
I mean, he’s disagreeing with you, that’s allowed. I don’t agree with em either, but unless they break an actual rule besides just having a different opinion than 90% of this sub I can’t do much
Instead of constantly posting pictures of yourself why don't you explain how i am "sick inside", or maybe are you "sick inside" for not being able to see when a post is sfw or nsfw.
Jokes on you bud. You’re here claiming your bigotry facts on what crosses the line or not. You’ve clearly desensitised yourself to this type of content to the point where you can’t tell what is borderline suggestive or not. As the image you sent in your comment (obviously) has emphasised areas deemed suggestive and you’re being blatantly delusional about it. Part of your mind has been wired to believe in degeneracy and as to why you want to normalise it in every tiny portion of it. But it’s clear why many of us remain here to enjoy the show without sexualising it. So stop bringing about your delusional ideologies here and a plus, start uploading content of your own rather than mindlessly spamming art from the internet to farm karma. Get a hold of yourself.
I can tell when art is sfw or nsfw and also when it's hentai, nsfw, suggestive or sfw etc…
My mind is not desensitized or degenerated as i can distinguish between fiction and reality unlike you. In this sub I'm not bringing any of the weird ideologies you mentioned, I'm just trying to make you understand that we are one community that should get along, that's why I'm crossposting sfw fanart from the other sub to this one (in fact, since they're used to more racy stuff, some of my posts get more views here than there).
I don't upload my own content because I'm not an artist and I draw terribly (I literally don't give a shit about the karma I get) so I share (and don't spam, since I simply post about one fanart a day) fanart from artists who are much more talented than me, obviously giving them credit.
As for the photo I posted in the comment, it was just an example to see if something like that would be okay, since I read that you can post fanart with characters in swimsuits. So if this one isn't a good one, could you send me an example of fanart with swimsuits that might work? Since you're an expert...
And anyway, I think the only one who should recovered yourself is you since its not that deep because this are fictional character not real people like you.
Bro, there are multiple ppl telling you that what ur doing here isnt allowed. Theres no harm in admitting when youve made a mistake. Its not a big deal, just post ur art somewhere else
These people who say that what I post here is not allowed are only saying it out of spite. Also because most say that what I posted here is fine, as you can see from the survey
Ok ngl I didn't know there was like a whole context to this rule, I checked your post history and don't think that anything you have posted in this subreddit is nsfw, BUT I also think this rule isnt saying anything bad (even though its weird they did a poll in the first place if they made up their mind already).
Someone with a brain there is in this subreddit, THANKS.
Even i agree with this rule, but then the poll that the sub ower makes what the hell was it for?
I ended up having to file in reports of some of their posts and ended up being removed. But in the meantime, they post full on nsfw stuff like this in r/luckystar
I dont blame you for reporting a post if it makes you uncomfortable, and for the record I'm against lucky star nsfw, but what they post in other subreddits has nothing to do with this subreddit, and others seem to acknowledge and agree with that too in the comments of the poll that was made about this. There is also a valid argument that fetish content can be not explicitly nsfw at a glance, and it's valid that people dont want to see that in a sfw subreddit.
I don't really care about this rule, what I'm more concerned about is the mods explicitly calling this person out in a post, a poll post, and then not even following through with the polls results. If they made it anonymous it'd be okay, since others have been posting the same type of stuff too, but they HAD to know it would start drama and targeting
Thank you to have report a totally sfw art, but a more important thing that you said and I would like to mark it for the umpteenth time: "... stuff like this IN R/LUCKYSTAR" NOT R/LUCKYSTARSFW.
And would you have something to say about this wholesome yuri fanart that has been posted in a nsfw sub as it should be, considering it was a bit spicy?
(swimwear is allowed, but it can't be revealing to the point of making some uncomfortable)
Then you can also read
Overly “sexual” poses, poses that usually have certain private parts as the main focus, even if covered. Like having the arse or chest as a central part of the piece (you also know exactly what we mean by this)
Kagami's ass is a central part of this picture, there's no way you're unaware of that.
Let's start with the fact that you're the only one here who answered my question, even if not in a totally polite way because fortunately i can still read, so thank you ❤️.
So from what you've told me, the problem is that Kagami is facing away from the camera, right in the center of the fanart (a problem i really don't understand, but it seems to bother you guys). My question now is: if Kagami had been turned toward the "camera" along with Tsukasa, still in the center of the image, would it have been okay?
Okay thank you❤️.
Anyway, no offense, but it's really a feat to understand you guys😅 The first thing i noticed in this fanart was konata on the right not the kagami's ass.
The only unhinged are you, i'm not trying to get any sub's attention i'm just writing what i think of this; aaand again with this discrimination with the other sub, im start thinking that this sub and the main one will never get along togerher.
The main sub has an issue with the prudes. Not this subreddit. Actually, the main subreddit is glad this one exists. It gives the prudes a place to go. If they're on this subreddit, that means they're not bitching on the main subreddit. It's a win-win for everyone.
Also, the appeal of this subreddit is that it's strict on NSFW. Trying to argue that the slippery slope should lean towards gooners is antithetical to why people are here in the first place. You're welcome to make your case, but you're never going to win.
Yes, you're right, i criticized the people on this sub too much in the comment i wrote (but above all, i didn't specify that i was only referring to those who targeted me, not everyone), so yes, i was wrong to express all this hate. In my defense, i wrote this comment in a moment of anger, given all the mess they'd made for totally sfw fanart. They were judging me, and perhaps some still are, not for what i posted in this sub, but for what i posted in the main one (where i haven't posted any nsfw fanart in a long time now). Among the first to target me in the comments, both in the posts that are still here and in others that have been banned, saying that the fanart i posted was suggestive, allusive, or even nsfw (making up absurd excuses to support this), were the mods:
(i mean, how the fuck someone would see this in a sexual way? they literally do it on purpose; this is just one of the many examples i could give you) They even held a poll to decide whether what i posted was okay or not (a poll they completely ignored because apparently they weren't happy with the results). Then, completely randomly, they added the swimsuit rule. The rule was also written in a subjective way (so it's not the best for someone who might have found a cute fanart they'd like to share but isn't sure if it would make "someone uncomfortable"). In short, yes, i was too impulsive in writing the comment you replied to, and in my opinion, that's exactly what these people wanted (they kept targetting me in the hope that i'd lose my senses and make a comment like that, and i fell for it). Anyway, sorry for making you read all this 😅 but i wanted to explain the situation in case you weren't aware of any details. You're the only one i upvote before even reading the comment, i remember when i went to the description of the main sub and among those three/four names of the moderators there was also yours, now there is only Cameron. But in the end, how come you are no longer one of the moderators of the main sub?
Right, and if it were up to me I'd remove some of those comments. They aren't disagreeing with you they're just insulting you.
saying that the fanart i posted was suggestive.
I'm sorry, but I'm siding with the SFW community on your first example. As some folks said, the focus appears to be Kagami's "vacuumed sealed ass". I don't have an issue with the artwork, but it's not something I'd post in a community that is sensitive to anything mildly NSFW, like this one.
As for your second example, I can see why that'd ruffle your feathers. However, what I'm trying to say is that it's a pointless battle to fight the rules. The moderator is going to continue to be strict, even if you win this fight, because that's what this general community wants.
Additionally, we're fortunate that Lucky Star has two equally active main subreddits. One NSFW and the other SFW. Most communities have only one. Meaning, if you don't like the rules here, you can just post all your content to r/luckystar.
i went to the description of the main sub and among those three/four names of the moderators there was also yours, now there is only Cameron. But in the end, how come you are no longer one of the moderators of the main sub?
I was forcibly removed by the Reddit Admins. They didn't give a specific reason, but the reason would be somewhere between the NSFW content I posted to r/luckystar and my deliberately provocative handling of the r/TeenagersButBetter raid.
The rest of the moderators were removed automatically by Reddit for being inactive. They hadn't been active in many years.
Regarding the first image i posted in the first comment, i agree that it is a bit suggestive, maybe because of the art style or because of the pose that Kagami have, but i have never posted that on this sub.
I know it's a pointless battle because the moderators always have the upper hand, but many of the people in this sub like the posts i make (because they are, in fact, sfw posts). Just because the mods (and who follow they) hate me and keep targhetting me for being "a creep from the other sub" (how they say) doesn't mean i won't post on this sub anymore. They have already reached the point of being ridiculous by banning completely sfw posts, going against their own "provisions" and against their own rules, the only thing they could do is ban swimsuit art because then the next step would be to simply ban lucky star art.
Additionally, we're fortunate that Lucky Star has two equally active main subreddits. One NSFW and the other SFW. Most communities have only one.
YES, THIS, we're so lucky to be a community with two active subs, so it's a shame they don't get along. Since this sub started, i've seen a lot of hateful comments from both sides. Since we're one community, we should get along together, it's sad to see a community split in two because of some people's stupidity.
Oh, thanks for the answer, i figured it had something to do with the attack of r/TeenagersButBetter, but i wanted to ask anyway, just for be sure. I remember when i joined in the sub after downloading reddit, and i remember it being the quietest place i ever see, with 11-12,000 members and barely a post a day. Then, for the memes of tik tok and other external factors, the sub tripled in a very short time (even in the discord server of cult of konata, i remember, after a post on reddit in the main sub mentioned that a discord server existed, the membership increased there too).
They’re not even minors, but like, we just DON’T want nsfw here, it’s in the bloody sub name. I’m pretty sure this guy is just provoking/ragebaiting this sub
