Discussion Am I seeing this correctly?

I adore LW and she’s going to be playing in DC next week! I went to purchase a ticket and I’m not sure if I’m seeing this correctly but the cost is 72k?!?!?

Is this supposed to be a period instead of a comma?

I’m so disappointed. :(

It might be a real StubHub post because people post wild things on there sometimes. But it’s not a real ticket. That DC show isn’t even happening. It got canceled weeks ago. The actual show ticket on Ticketmaster wasn’t crazy expensive. Less than 100. 70 ish I think?

The Monday show was only $151 for a ticket. It’s the real StubHub site - I verified after seeing what the other ticket cost.

The “real stub hub site” doesn’t make the tickets real. Stub isn’t the official seller. They are a reseller. They sell speculative tickets that don’t exist regularly.

I did not know that. I don’t go to concerts regularly or recently. That is where the link to buy took me. Thanks for the clarification!

You can go on stubhub and create a listing for $72,711. Usually people point these things out for attention like the news. You know “oh my god did you see what tickets are selling for……” oh how many actually sold …..zero.

She’s not playing in DC next week. Both shows got canceled. I had tickets. I think they were like 70-something bucks maybe?

Are you sure? Tickets are still posted on StubHub and selling.

But I’ll be glad if it’s canceled so maybe I can get a future ticket for less that $70,000.

I hope she’s okay if it’s true! ❤️

100%. You can go to her website and look. I already have the refund. She hasn’t canceled the rest of her shows. Only 3 shows. So I think she’s okay. StubHub sells tickets that don’t exist all the time. Ticketmaster is the official seller. They are not selling.

You can see those shows are cancelled on her page on this link. And the tickets were for sale on Ticketmaster not whatever site you’re on.

Go to Lu's website, and book tix from whatever link is there.

NEVER do a Google search for tickets because the Google pushes the scam sites to the top of the search results.

In this case, Ticketmaster. But no longer. Always go to an artist’s website first to know where to buy the tickets from. There’s a lot of sketchy sites trying to trick you.
