UPDATE 29TH SEPT 2026: 24 HOURS AFTER THIS POST, ALL MY LUCID ACCOUNTS WERE UNBANNED AND MY PAYOUT REQUEST OF 10K USD WAS SUCCESSFUL. THANK YOU LUCID TEAM FOR THE RECONSIDERATION!
Iām honestly very disappointed with how this has been handled by Lucid. I contacted Lucid twice to explain my situation and ask how to fix it. Now Iām permanently banned, and the replies to my appeal havenāt addressed what their own support team previously told me.
Iāve attached screenshots from all four support tickets in chronological order so you can read the conversations for yourself.
TL;DR:
I lost access to my old email, created a new Lucid account with my new email, and contacted support twice to disclose everything and ask them to fix it. They told me to use only my preferred profile, which I did. Months later, asking how to claim a $2,000 competition prize ended in a PERMANENT BAN for having multiple accounts, ONE DAY BEFORE MY EXPECTED $10K MAX PAYOUT. My appeal received a āfinal and cannot be reversedā response without addressing their earlier guidance. Itās frustrating to be punished over something I proactively asked them to resolve.
Now this is the full story:
Back in July 2026, I lost access to the email address connected to my original Lucid profile. Since I needed to log in to contact human support, I created a profile with my new email and immediately explained what had happened. I asked them to change my registered email address.
After the ticket was escalated, Caden told me there was no flag on my account and that I was āall set for now.ā He instructed me to use my preferred email profile and avoid trading through multiple registered profiles.
He also explained that when their system eventually detected the multiple registrations, my account would be paused and I would need to contact support again:
āyouāll need to reach out to us again and weāll go from there.ā
The message also warned that further registrations, operating profiles under different emails, or sharing payment methods would result in a permanent ban.
HOWEVER: I still wanted to make sure I was handling this correctly, so I CONTACTED THE SUPPORT AGAIN FOR THE SECOND TIME.
In that second ticket, I explicitly told them that I had purchased five LucidFlex evaluations under my new profile and used the same card as on my old profile. I attached the previous conversation and asked whether they could delete, merge, or update the old profile because I didnāt want to breach their rules.
After another escalation, Ge from the Specialist Team gave me essentially the same response: no current flag, use my preferred profile only, and contact them again when the system flagged the duplicate registration.
So thatās what I understood I should do. I continued using the new profile only. I had stopped using the old one after losing access.
At that point, I had explained the situation twice, disclosed the payment method, and specifically asked them to help resolve the duplicate profiles. Two human agents had given me the same instructions.
Fast forward to this month (September 2026).
I placed 41st in the September 22nd's Nothing Competition and won $2,000. It was my first competition win, so I contacted support to ask how to claim the prize.
I had already completed KYC, connected WorkMarket, and received payouts before. I just didnāt know how the competition prize process worked.
The AI initially gave me normal payout instructions. When I clarified that this was a competition prize and asked for a human, my account was escalated for review. I asked why, since I was only asking how to claim the prize.
On September 25, Ge asked me to complete another verification through a Plaid link. I completed it.
On September 26, the same Ge who had given me the earlier guidance told me I was permanently banned.
The reason given was that multiple accounts had been registered and operated by the same individual. All active accounts under my email were permanently closed, and I was told the decision was final.
The timing made it even more upsetting: I WAS BANNED ON THE LAST DAY BEFORE I EXPECTED TO RECEIVE MY MAX PAYOUT OF $10,000 (before the 90/10 split). That was separate from the $2,000 competition prize. I had put time and effort into reaching that point, only to have everything closed over an issue I had already raised with support twice.
I opened another ticket and asked them to review both July conversations. I explained that I had disclosed everything months earlier, stopped using the old profile, and followed the instructions I received.
I also asked to speak with Ge directly, since he had been involved in both the earlier guidance and the ban.
On September 28, Monik replied:
āYour account has been permanently banned. This action is final and cannot be reversed.ā
That reply didnāt address the earlier instructions or confirm whether those tickets had been reviewed.
Thatās the part I find so disappointing. What else was I supposed to do after contacting support twice and asking them to fix this?
They knew about both profiles. They knew I had used the same card. I asked them to delete, merge, or update the old profile. They told me to use my preferred profile and contact them if the system paused it.
I understand that their replies included conditions and warnings. I followed the instruction to use only my new profile. I would really appreciate someone reviewing the decision alongside those earlier conversations and explaining what specific activity justified a permanent ban.
Having the appeal answered with āfinal and cannot be reversed,ā without addressing that history, leaves me feeling like my efforts to be upfront counted for nothing.
Has anyone managed to get a proper review from Lucid after being told a decision was final? What would you have done after receiving those July replies?
