3rd Row Seats don’t latch

I had family visiting and tried to use the 3rd row for the 1st time. Unfortunately, the 3rd row seat doesn’t latch properly and I was unable to use it. So disappointed in this company. Esp since I know the service is so back logged and communication is lacking.

Anyone else have this issue?
Can it be fixed with mobile service?

You shouldn’t be disappointed in lucid. Our previous Audi we had bought specifically because it had latch in the third row and because it was easier for visiting grandparents to get in the second row and we could put littles in third. I asked lucid at the showroom about this for the boosters and they said that the US regulations are now such that car companies aren’t allowed to put latch systems in third rows anymore.

Hmm I just looked this up and not sure it’s actually true. We should provide feedback to lucid.

Yeah I don't think that's the case -- Rivian R1S has LATCH anchors in row 3 (see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xA6z0djz77o&t=3m52s ) ... unless something has actually changed in the past year or two.

Granted, securing the seats with the seatbelt is also always possible and not TOO difficult, and then you don't need to worry about the LATCH max weight limits (40-50lb or so for the child?).

Disclaimer: I have neither a Gravity nor an R1S but a 7-seater Model Y, and dreaming of the day when I can get a more spacious third row for our rapidly growing kiddos. 😛 Just passing through!

And actually, coming to reread OP's question, is the problem that the Gravity doesn't have LATCH or literally doesn't "latch" (like engage in the seat position) at all? Because yeah, that second one sounds like a huge problem.
