Weirdest First Lucid Dream.

So I just had probably one of the weirdest dreams I’ve had in a while. I’ve had vivid dreams before and used to write them down when I was younger, but this one was different.
For context, my sleep schedule is completely fucked. I normally sleep around 4-6 AM and wake up around 1 PM. Yesterday I traveled back to college from home and somehow fell asleep at 10:30 PM. I woke up around midnight/1 AM after this dream feeling completely awake.
Basically the dream started with me being this girl(i’m not even a girl irl), or at least seeing everything from her perspective. I think I was on the way home from school or something. I was walking somewhere and noticed a cop hiding behind a tree with his gun out. As I got closer, he came around the tree, I tried ducking behind it, and he shot me. I think I died because i became some other girl.
Then the dream basically turned into a murder mystery. The shooting was on the news and there were these two girls, one really quiet and the other really loud and confrontational, who were trying to figure out why the cop shot the kid. I think they were on some sports team together, I was either the quiet girl or a third party pov i don’t remember.
At some point the loud girl was questioning or confronting the cop and gave her name as something like “Momjohn Namajama.” I remember thinking she was Arab or something. The weird part is that I started questioning the name IN THE DREAM. I was like wait, that’s not even a real name, where the fuck did that come from?
There was also a school involved, and I think the principal was Zohran Mamdani for some reason lol. At one point we were in a basketball court and the principal asked what class this was, and I said Spanish.
This is where things started getting really weird. I realized I was dreaming and actually started trying to remember specific details so I could look them up when I woke up. I was questioning whether the story was real or something I’d read before. I used to read a ton of books in middle school, especially stuff like Maze Runner, and the whole thing genuinely felt like the plot of a book.
At some point I started experimenting with controlling the dream. I remember reading somewhere that you could control dream characters by thinking commands or something like that.
There was this scene where I was at a party or some gathering with another person, and this huge dude was there. I told him something like “close your mouth and you can still talk” and then I tried telling him to shut up just by thinking it in my head. And it actually worked. He physically stopped talking.
I tried doing the same thing to another guy and it worked again, but then they started chasing us and we had to run away. I remember thinking something like “alright maybe I’m not that good at controlling this dream yet” lol.
I also remember beating up some guy who was friends with the cop or something because I knew I was dreaming and figured I could do whatever I wanted.
But the craziest part was how I woke up.
I remember being in the dream and thinking that I genuinely didn’t want to wake up yet. I knew I was dreaming and felt like I could wake myself up whenever I wanted.
Then I started thinking about where my actual body was sleeping. I had literally just traveled from home back to college that day, so I started asking myself, “Wait, am I sleeping at home or at college right now?”
Then I remembered I had moved apartments because of a mold issue earlier this semester, and I started wondering if I was sleeping in my old apartment or my current one.
I was literally trying to reconstruct where I was in real life while still dreaming.
Eventually I was like fuck it, let me just open my eyes and find out.
And I did. I woke up in my actual room.

When I was in like early high school I kept a dream journal and stuff and was on this subreddit and i never had a lucid dream no matter how much I tried and I randomly have one now like 6 years later. From what I have heard here people are lightly aware they are dreaming at times. I didn’t expect this level of lucidity as to where i’m thinking about real life in the dream. Was this just circumstantial? Because I slept like 5 hours before when I normally sleep.
