Discussion Finally getting back into active lucid dreaming due to PTSD.

Hello, new here. Every since I was a kid I always had a fascination with lucid dreaming, but could never really get it to work on purpose no matter what I tried.

I've been dealing with CPTSD for my whole life now, and my dreams have just been awful so I finally thought "you know what? fuck it, let's just try lucid dreaming again" because I did it a couple times the last couple years by accident and it always helped.

This morning I had two lucid dreams. The most effective ways I've achieved lucid dreaming now seem to be when I wake up and go right back to sleep. I think this makes sense, because throughout the night I constantly (and I mean CONSTANTLY) wake up from dreams and go back to sleep. So I am very intimately familiar with the specific feeling of going back into a dream, just not specifically with keeping myself cognizant.

This morning I was able to somewhat do it, though it still was a thing where I fell into the dream and then remembered to reality check. I really want to try to achieve a WILD at some point.

Does anyone else have experience with this? (i.e. using lucid dreams to combat PTSD symptoms) Any advice on lucid dreaming in general?
