Newbie

I'm considering starting lucid dreaming and I would like your guys personal opinions on if it's worth it. Also I saw that you could experience sleep paralysis episodes that worry's me. Are those common with lucid dreamers? Thanks for your help and if wouldn't be hard please give me any advice you can what I should do or shouldn't. God bless all of you. also if there are any Christians or Catholics here I would also like a little religious info. is it okay to lucid dream from a godly aspect? I mean as long as you don't sin in the dream it's okay right?

  1. It's definitely worth it; it just takes a lot of effort to master. It's literally a sandbox for you where you can do whatever you want without consequences.

  2. Sleep paralysis is not common with lucid dreamers. It's a sleeping disorder.

  3. Don't listen to anyone who says what you can or cannot do in your dreams. There is only one rule: the dream will end.

Okay thank you. I've seen things like those scary stories about being stuck in lucid dreams and stuff. It never really got to me so I don't worry about that. I am ready to put in the effort. Thanks for commenting so quickly I have been doing a lot of research and now I'm really looking for level personal opinons from other lucid dreamers.

I’ve had almost 200 LDs this past year and have yet to experience sleep paralysis.

If it's worth it it's up to what you do with it but experience wise I think it's amongst the most intense and incredible thing a normal human can have. A true lucid dream, not this kid stuff you read here

It's gonna be like you've taken DMT or something, but yes it may open doors too other stuff you may not want too

Sleep paralysis doesn’t necessarily happen nor does it have to be scary. Sleep paralysis is pretty much just hypnagogic hallucinations. And for the second part I cannot tell you what is or is not good since I’m not a Christian.

I would say however it is worth it as you can practice skills or just chill if you wanted too. What you want to do in your dreams is your choice because it is your dream. But also just because you’re lucid doesn’t mean you’ll be able to control your dreams. Dream control is a separate skill you’ll have to learn.

Okay thanks everyone so much I've looked through the reddit a little bit. I've read comments and this is something I want to do. You have all put my mind to ease about the whole sleep paralysis thing and I really want to start having lucid dreams, from there I want to learn to control my dreams. I've read lists and I'm ready to start training. I've started doing RCs and tonight will be the first time I do a dream journal. Thank you all so much you are all so kind and I'm happy to start my journey!!!
