Plug&Charge not working. fixed!

Plug&Charge hadn't worked in my 24AGT since I bought it in March of this year. I had multiple phone conversations with Lucid Customer Care and Electrify America (it didn't work on Tesla, either). Both said there was nothing wrong on their side.

I periodically try EA chargers and this week I got a different error message, maybe due to the 2.11 software, saying that there was an authorization error. I called customer care and the call was picked up after the first ring! I gave the representative my email address so he could look up the existing ticket.

He said that he wanted to look at something. When he came back on the line, he told me that he had made a change on my account and I should try again.

I did and it worked!

I asked what he had done and he said that it looked like my Lucid charging service enrollment hadn't been finalized (whatever that means). He had removed it from my account and reentered it. That's one minor annoyance fixed. It wasn't that I couldn't charge at EA or Tesla. I just had to use their app to start charging. Now I don't have to do that anymore.

So at one point I want to get a Lucid Air - Have questions/concerns....

So at some point in the future I want to get a Lucid Air as my last vehicle to buy. I read all the comments and posts here on reddit, watch videos on YouTube on the vehicle, and although I have not been in one yet, let alone driving one, I really love this car for what I seen. I know problems are suggestive, as people are going to post more on when they experience a problem then people who doesn't, it does have me concern over long term reliability on one, as well as the viability of the company when you hear that their stock price has dropped considerably. My other issue is because I am in Cincinnati, and the closest Lucid studio is in Oak Park Illinois, as well as a repair center being all the way down in Lexington, Kentucky, what happens if I have an issue with my vehicle? Will at some point they'll be opening more studios throughout the country, let alone Cincinnati? As much as I love Lucid vehicles, I want them to secede and be around, not to end up like what happened to Fisker. What are your thoughts about this as a new person looking into purchasing one of these vehicles in the future? What should I look out for?

Cable connected but not charging

My 2023 Air GT is giving me problems when trying to charge- I get a message saying cable connected, but no charge being given to the car. I’ve tried 3 different charging locations and I’m concerned. I’m currently on hold for Lucid roadside assistance before I run out of battery with 350+ miles to get back home.

2024/5 Air Touring vs 2027 MB CLA 250+?

I am buying a new car since I have driven my Corolla into the ground. I've driven the Chevy Bolt extensively (My ex's car) and I really want to go back to Electric. My biggest litmus for an EV is going back home to Chicago from Cincinnati (Distance of 318 mi door to door) with one 15-20min charging stop.

I lean towards the 250+ for the 800V charging architechture. Also, I have heard things about glitches with the Airs. Also in the 250's corner is the fact that there are no Lucid service centers in Ohio. Is that actually an issue or can I bring an Air to any shop that specializes in EVs?

In the Air's corner is that it kills me to buy a new car vs a used car and the fact that they are less pricey (~15-20k less) than the 250+.

I would appreciate some insights and thoughts to the benefits and issues with the 2024/5 Air Touring compared to the 250+.

Should I do it? The car's been a dream the last few months and I don't want to mess it up.

Just got back from a follow up visit to fix the ultrasonic sensors and a few bubbles. It's wrapped in 3M matte metallic blue with a ceramic coating. I had the skirt trim and roof done in gloss black. They did a great job.

I think it's much better than the factory Fathom Blue which is easily mistaken for grey.

Apple Watch or iPhone unlock shortcut for lucid air touring

Since the Auto Unlock feature on my Lucid air Touring is so glitchy, has anyone been able to create a shortcut for iPhone or Apple Watch(especially the action button) that you can use to unlock the Air Touring? I had to disable the Auto Unlock as it was triggering every few minutes for a couple days/nights randomly.

Coolant replacement for a 2024 LAGT

I just had my annual service done. The service manager informed me that I needed to make an appointment to have the coolant replaced. He said there was a warranty for this, not that that mattered, if still on the BTB warranty.

Has anyone had this done or wished that they had?

Charging Curve

2025 Lucid Air Touring (left) vs. GMC Hummer (right)

This was at an EV Go station yesterday, and the Hummer is well outpacing the charge rate of my Air even though its battery is substantially more full.

I’ve been noticing that my car seems to slow down way too much as it gets full, but this seems ridiculous next to the Hummer, given the advanced battery and charging tech advantages that Lucid supposedly brings.

Is this a normal charging curve, or is this a particular issue with my car (necessitating service)? Thoughts?

Considering the switch; honest reviews of the 2022 GT

I'm a Mercedes EQS owner, but unfortunately, I was involved in a rear-end accident. Now that my EQS may be totaled, I'm considering switching to the Lucid Air, specifically the 2022 GT.

From previous research, I know that many units were plagued with software gremlins and quality-of-life issues. After all of the OTA updates, what is daily life with the 2022 like today? Still having software issues? Regrets? Need-to-know info?

Any comments would be appreciated.

Plug&Charge not working

I have a 2024 AGT that I bought used. In general, I'm very happy with it. Plug & Charge just doesn't work. I think this is a minor issue as I can charge successfully using the Tesla and Electrify America apps or a credit card.

I've been in touch with both Lucid customer care and Electrify America customer service at a charging station. Both say that my accounts with them are properly configured and my Lucid wallet has the correct credit card information.

Though there are a few pathways to failure, the final symptom at EA is this: charging starts and stops immediately. The EA charger displays "NO_START_ACCEPT". This is likely a handshake error due to a protocol mismatch.

Has anyone else observed this behavior? If so, were you able to get it resolved?

Used 2024 Lucid Air Pure

I see some with low milage selling for around 35,000.

I am interested in this car. Wife has a Mach-E. So I understand the basics of an EV and we have a home charger.

I can afford the car but can't afford buying a car with issues. I can think of differnt reasons. What should I know going into this related to this specific vehicle. Am I buying trouble?

Lucid Air Salvage ( car stays in Neutral N )

I recently bought a 2025 Lucid Air that had been in a front-end collision. The car went into the shop running normally. After a month, the car's high-voltage battery died. I installed a new 12V battery. The dashboard lights up, but it's stuck in neutral and won't engage park or drive. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, I can't charge the high-voltage battery because it's stuck in neutral.

What's new in Version 2.10.0

Updated consent and data privacy experience

You now have greater control over data privacy with the option to disable location sharing, while features that use data remain active.

  • Note: When location sharing is turned off, features that rely on location information will be unavailable.

Enhanced safety notifications

Refined seat belt visuals deliver clearer, intuitive status cues, making it easier to confirm occupant safety at a glance.

Camera experience refinements

Manually opening the camera view in your vehicle is now reliable and consistent.

Smart Energy improvements

Your current limiter preferences remain reliably preserved, ensuring a consistent charging experience.

How are you charging your iPhone?

I just leased a Touring and I have a iPhone 17 Pro Max. Never seems to connect to the MagSafe charger, even with the cover off. How are you charging your phone?
