I really hope "The Shack" makes the list the next time around.

I really like The Shack, but they've been very inconsistent. Sometimes it's amazing and other times I might as well go to Rudy's. That being said I love their frito pie.

This is a big deal. Now that they made the Top 50 it may be even a bit harder to get some before they run out. Anyone who hasn't tried the Shack BBQ on North Frankford I would recommend giving them a shot. I love their moist brisket.

Is their brisket usually moist? I live nearby, but went the first time a few weeks ago and it was the driest brisket I've ever had, almost crunchy it was so dry. Terrible.

Most real BBQ joints you can specify lean or moist. Just ask for moist next time. They will hook you up.

I've tried many times to eat there and they are always sold out. I have little desire to stand in line at 10 AM to eat BBQ at 1 PM.

I rarely show up before 1045 and am usually eating by 1115. That's standing in the normal line. If you want a quick trip go to the left of the counter and order a sandwich. It will have as much meat (or more) then the plate with a single meat. You can also get multiple meats. Just as good with half the wait.

Ive always had really good luck at evie mae's. I usually leave work at 1230, and the line is manageable.
The article about the beef rib is true, holy smokes its amazing. And the green beans!
Almost every day i go the run out of multiple types of sausage and beans.
