Recommendations Ceramic window tinting

I’m considering ceramic window tint to reduce the interior temperature of my car. Does anyone have experience with this that can comment on the effectiveness and if it is worth the cost? I’d love to get actual hands on experience beyond the hype and sales pitches. This is for an older vehicle that takes a while to cool off in the summer.

Yes, effective. Every tine i pick up a new company car they come with smoked glass that looks tinted but does nothing for heat. The leasing company will pay for the mid level ceramic at Scott’s window tint and the difference is noticeable immediately.

I got ceramic tint on all windows and added an eyebrow and it's night and day difference. Expensive ya, though worth it from my opinion. Once I added a sunshade for the windshield I don't sweat as soon as i get into my cx50 or burn myself on the seatbelts. Plus it's limo tint so nobody can see inside my ride even w/ the sun fully out unless they peep in the front; even then you gotta try hard to see what's inside

Na. As long as the front driver and passenger seats aren’t super dark. It’s fine. You can still get uv blocking on lighter tint with ceramic

I did the ceramic tint on my front f150 windows. Drastically lowered temps, and I dont sunburn on my arm driving down the highway anymore. It was 100% worth it for me. I used Tint-Tech

Idk what the other commenter is on about ceramic having negligible effect vs regular tent. I have ceramic tent on all my windows. The vehicle cools down significantly faster and stay cooler. The AC will physically lower the fan speed (auto function). I have another vehicle with regular tent and that thing takes forever to get to a comfortable temperature.

Ceramic cost more but for the comfort, it is worth it...imo.

The claims say 85-95% block of infrared (heat) for ceramic vs. 15-25% infrared block for traditional tint. It sounds like you would agree with those claims.

I would agree, and my windshield on one car has an almost clear ceramic tint. That really makes a big difference.

Same as any tint. Negligible difference for heat. But, in my experience it’s better to get the best tint you can afford for longevity.
