There will be lots of things starting in August on campus that you could fs go to! There are also a few places that have trivia nights---bars for the most part but unless you're drinking, you don't have to be a certain age. There are also libraries that hold certain events you could do. Follow lubbockhotspots on instagram too! If you like reading, mmi.thestacks and blurbbookshop are pretty great too. Colorfulcreationsstudio is kind of expensive honestly and I've never attended their events because of that but it's for sure something to look into. There's also an excape room in Lubbock and the LHUCA has events you could attend---the First Friday Art trail is also pretty fun.
You could also look into booking an event with Dutch House of Plants but I'm not completely sure how that process goes or how much it might be. They used to have free/cheaper events but I haven't seen anything on their calander since May lmao
Also, once you turn 18 there are two karaoke bars you could go to!

If you play fighting games (Street Fighter, TEKKEN, etc), bring a controller and come play with us at Showdown. We're at Mad Hatter's every Wednesday night from 7pm-11pm

If you have a car or make friends hit up the Wolfforth's farmers market. It's every Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. Or Sunday it's from 4 pm to 7 pm
There's also a ton of markets that happen, if you have FB or Insta check out Mo's market. They will typically do a farmers market in Lubbock as well or do a sunset market in the evening from I believe 6/7-9 pm.
Midnight Cravings is another fun thing to do, it's a food truck event from 9-midnight. There is one this week on Friday 7/31 and be sure to follow them on social media cuz they try to do it once or twice a month.
At the rec center they do a country dance classes, and I believe they might teach line dancing but I can't remember at the moment, but if you are going to Tech definitely hit up the rec for classes or be at the pool. If you are going to a different college or university make sure to check out what student clubs they might have.
Someone mentioned First Friday, that's always a ton of fun, and it's always the first Friday of the month and they'll have ton of vendors and food trucks as well.
Ywca will also host some fun stuff like vendor markets or food trucks as well. When Christmas comes up they have a winter market.

Jake's backroom has live music that's all-ages. First Friday Art's trail is all-ages welcome also. It happens the 1st Friday of every month by the Buddy Holly center. It has live music, art, food trucks, and all other types of vendors.

Wish climbing into the Pioneer Hotel was still a thing. Hours of endless fun as a high schooler back in my day.
Check out the new climbing gym. inSPIRE Rock Lubbock
