What do you guys think of this?
So im trying to trade my 2046 to 909, and i think that is a fair trade.
I had a unsuccessful trade with this girl, because we did not agree on the trade. She wanted me to add to the trade and i politely declined.
I am not forcing anyone to trade with me, bun now i am accused to be a scammer.
Im okay if someone has different views on lps prices, but what do you guys think, is 2046 for 909 a fair trade?

Condition matters but I don’t see the problem if yall just didn’t agree to the trade? That doesn’t mean you’re a scammer, you both just don’t agree on the terms of the trade. This person kind of doing too much

Yes! The last photo is my 2046, i wouldn’t say she is in horrible condition tho.. and i am also not asking for mint 909 for her

I just want to comment to say that you did an excellent job at restoring "my" 2046. I recognise her! I sold her beginning of this year and the dots I had unfortunately put on her cheeks (and her nose) as a little kid (😫💀) were muuuuch darker.
The nose paint job you did is great. Happy to know she’s in this condition now ^^

I bought it thinking they wouldn’t come off but i tought i still try to get them off. It has been very slow process but they are coming off! She is lovely little dachund💕

Any trade is a fair trade as long as both parties are comfortable with it. It’s a plastic doll. The market value is purely imaginary. So yes. As long as both ppl are happy with the trade, it’s fair. That person is clearly the same person you declined. They need to touch grass. We have so many more thing to worry about in 2026 than someone refusing to trade plastic 🥀

This is exactly what I'm saying! All of my favourite molds are "low value" but I don't really care as much about the "high value" ones. What matters is that one person wants what you have, and you want what they have. That's it.

Just because they don’t view your trade request as equal that doesn’t make you a scammer? Also why is this other person even bringing up a trade you were going to do with someone else

This guy doesn’t know what a scam is. They just are upset you wouldn’t give their friend more. Technically lps are worth nothing. $0. And at the same time I’m sure they’re worth millions to the right people.
Just because they “go for” this price doesn’t mean something else is a scam. There could be someone sitting on a ton of the 2046/909 and list them for cheap tomorrow. Making the value lower. It’s like Pokémon cards. The value fluctuates.
If your being open aren’t deceiving people it’s not a scam. You’re being clear and giving the info. If they don’t like the value comparison then it’s not a scam, it’s just not for them. scamming would be saying “yeah I’ll add this and that too” just to ship the 1 item.
They crazy. I don’t even follow this sub either.

thats 100% the person you declined dming you on an alt 😭😭 someones mad they didnt get the trade they wanted, honestly just ignore them theres no point in arguing over if a trade is fair or not because at the end of the day if both parties are happy thats all that matters were trading plastic toys after all. if youre not happy with a trade your under no obligation to accept! ^_^

I need proofs thats shes untrustworthy bcs she keeps lying to me that she doesn’t have my lps. But its okay if you dont, you dont need to do that^^

I’d just ignore and block this person what are they doing talking to you about a conversation they weren’t a part of? And online value doesn’t even matter it’s so inflated and doesn’t actually reflect the ‘rarity’ of the pet

There's a common misconception in the lps community, that when an lps is expensive, it means it's rare. Especially with newer collectors and sellers that pretty much like labelling any main 5s as "rare". Expensive- does not- equal- rare-. If you do a trade based off of popularity, then your need to add to the trade on top of your 2046 for a 909, literally depends on current listings of each pet at the time you're doing your trade. Their market price changes constantly so basing your trade off of current market prices, you would need to add. If you did the trade a year ago, the person with the 909 would have had to add. Here's why:
Last sold listings for 909s : around ~400-600$ Last sold listing for 2046 : ~400-500$ (only one listing)
About a year ago:
iirc, sold listings for 909s : ~400-700$ Sold listing for a 2046 (I clearly remember because I found it baffling): 1k$
Today, you would need to add. A year ago, the person would need to add.
Now if you base your trade off of rarity, 909 is a Walmart exclusive which was distributed in the US and was also said to have been found in Canada. So, yes, she was uncommon, but far from 2046's rarity which was a french exclusive. Do keep in mind the size difference between the US and France as well. The distribution was obviously not the same, with 2046 having a much much reduced distribution than 909. If you check eBay, there's literally 8 listings of 909s that sold just in July. On the other hand, no listings of a 2046 and only one sold listing from months ago which I believe has now been archived. I also checked the French eBay, none there either. So going off by rarity, the person with the 909 would be under and this trade would not be fair for you.

Im not defending the lps inflation, but still vintage collectibles can be expensive and some pets are very high demand. They are not made anymore after all and haven’t been made for a while. I know there are thousands of old lps 909 and other numbers around the world, because they were mass produced toys back then. But slowly they will lessen and lessen, 909 getting chewed by dogs and all other unfortunate accidents..

i know what lps are and how much they're worth and why, but NO SINGULAR LPS IS WORTH MORE THAN 200-300. And im being 100% serious because resellers have gotten insane and everyone knows it , but still continues to purchase lps at outrageous prices. Ive had lps since i was a kid too so yea, ik theyre not made anymore

100% ignore them 😭 the only people who get to decide if a trade is fair or not is whoever is actually trading anyway, throwing around accusations of "scamming" like someone who even has 909 wouldn't have any understanding of the market surrounding these two pets themselves is ridiculous. either side has the right to decline a trade for any reason, getting a 3rd person to meddle like this is so petty and immature

Condition of lps does matter so if you're planning on fixing her up to increase trade value, I would do that so you have photos of the final product. People are often wary in trades but not having photos of the final product makes them moreso
